He can kamui an arrow from sasuke which is fast (not as fast as kirin but still fast)
AND the fact that he has a sharingan that can see chakra build up he would know that he was sending his lightning chakra into the clouds and seeing as kakashi is smart he has a good chance of figuring it out and preemptive preparing kamui to instantly warp it away but still 9/10 times kirin would win

i dont know if kakashi can successfully warp ot away but he sure as hell initiate the kamui in time
the jutsu kirin might be fast but it takes a gud 5 to 10 seconds for the prep kakashi will figure it out as something to d o with lightning
the other thing people have to remember is kakashi moved to cut lightning into 2 so kirin is as fast as lightning right so he can always cut it i guess

If he has enough chakra then sure. His opening the Kamui vortex is enough, the Kirin-being a straight attack-should simply dive right into it. A more realistic escape would be warping himself away before Kirin strikes then returning.

If we go off what we see in the Manga then he might be able to. Itachi was able to defend with Susanno, even if Kamui takes longer to prep maybe Kakashi could do the same with his technique.
Here's the problem... Itachi shouldn't of been able to defend against that. The speed of lightning is ridiculously fast. By the time Itachi's mind was even registering that a lightning bolt is coming towards him it would of been too late. No time to acknowledge the attack, let alone set up a defence. It was Bs.
So really Kakashi shouldn't be able to as he'd be vaporized before he knows it. Kirin is too fast.
