Could Kakashi have been chosen as naruto's sensei because of being Minato's student?

This is just something ive been wondering for a while but do you think kakashi could have been chosen to be naruto's sensei due to be him being Minato's student?

Didnt they say early on that they made the squads based upon strengths and weakness and I'm sure they paired squads up with a captain who can manage and utilize the squad in the most efficent way. seeing as how team kakashi is basically a reconstruct of team minato its kind of safe to say that its based upon cumulative knowledge and experience with given personality types.

Actually, i had ALWAYS thought that Kakashi was Naruto's sensei because naruto was Minato's son. i mean, that's the only reason the great Legendary Sannin Jiraiya took care of him and taught him to summon and taught him Rasengan and when he was done, he told kakashi "ok, i'm leaving naruto with you now, so you take care of him." I mean Jiraiya could've left him with anyone--Konoha has lots of great teachers and anyone would be honored by the request of the Legendary Sannin himself...

i mean Kakashi admitted he wasn't the best of teachers (afterall, not ONE group EVER passed his genin tests until naruto's group did with disobeying his orders in bell training and giving naruto their lunch) and he was especially not the best for naruto at that point in time cuz of their personalities--all naruto wanted to do was train and get strong while kakashi wanted to read icha-icha and fap.

i think Jiraiya/Kakashi both sorta felt it was therir duty to train/protect their sensei's child.

anyways, i said a lot but my whole point was that i had always thought Kakashi and Jiraiya (minato's student and teacher) were his caretakers cuz he was Minato's son, but Kakashi was first cuz he had to wait for Jiraiya to get his ass outta bed to train.

of course, i could be wrong and it could all be coincidence, but personally i don't think it was coincidence at all. that's my 2 cents. i need those 2 cents back later though cuz i need everything i got for gas to get my car started
