To create one or more points for Izanami? All Izanami needs is the memorization of a bodily sensation, and genjutsu can cause real world bodily pain. So if that pain is were to be replicated more than once within Itachi's Tsukuyomi then I think it should be possible.

Similar to this.

Another question that I find it interesting is that Izanami simply needs a bodily sensation. So does that mean Izanami requires physical damage caused by the user, or can it be anything?

A special emphasis seemed to be put on Kabuto stepping on a feather.

So could that constitute as the marker to activate Izanami? And if so, could Izanami be activated simply by memorizing the opponent's sensation of breathing or grasping a kunai?

Discuss.

I'm going to assume that in order to establish points for Izanami, it has to happen in real life, as in, in that reality, based on something the user sees, and the other one feels.

Couldn't breathing technically activate Izanami?

-Get target to breath
-Memorize sensation of breathing
-Repeat sensation of breathing.
-Infinite loop.

If that's your reasoning, then I don't see any reason why it should have to happen in real life. The user of the genjutsu can see it for himself just as the victim can see and feel it.

I don't see why Itachi shouldn't be able to make his loop more than what he already did to Kabuto. I would assume that the as the loop gets bigger the chakra assumption gets bigger.
But I don't think Itachi can simply put someone in Izanami by having them breathing or grasping a kunai. If he could he wouldn't have to do all of that to Kabuto.

It's an assumption on both our parts, so it doesn't really matter if you don't see the reason or not. z.z

It would seem he already used the sensation of Kabuto stepping on a feather to create a point. How is that any different then feeling air pass through your nostrils or a cold kunai in ones hand?

I don't see any reason why a mundane action like breathing or grasping a kunai wouldn't be able to be used as markers. Even if there is a minimum amount of time the Izanmai loop has to be set to, time is trivial within Tsukuyomi. A genjutsu within a genjutsu; I like it.

Tsukuyomi and Izanami connection.....Anyways Tsukuyomi was usable in that fight. Itachi was holding back because of some weird reason as his enemy Kabuto claimed "Itachi you had so many powers and so many techniques" meaning former was surprised why the guy wasn't using any of those. There's the fact he warned Sasuke not to hurt him let alone kill. Then there's the non-eye contact illusion which can control Eighty Thousand Shinobi in the Alliance without being Detected. Dude's way too OP. He could've used that in Kabuto's fight but holding back took it's road way top far thus Itachi took his time doing things. Totsuka + Yata were nowhere to be seen you know why. Plot Armor too strong. Tsukuyomi doesn't even seem to require Eye Contact judging from his Alliance Illusion and during Naruto's Fight he claimed all he needed to use his Illusion was just a mere finger and he didn't require his eyes to cast it proves this fact. There's not one fight this dude never held back not even in Part 1. Held back in his First Fight Ever in series. Lmfao.

I mean, i was under the impression the Izanami was the next step up from tsukuyomi. Being that its a genjutsu established by the user, but not controlled and that being its innate strength.
I see the possibility of trapping someone tsukuyomi and then also in izanami to be possible.
