I believe that Minato could beat Itachi, but there is still one thing left, that would eventually turn the tide of the battle in a matter of seconds - it's Itachi's genjutsu. I mean.. I'm just really curious about how can Minato possibly avoid it? This Itachi fellow can catch him in genjutsu via simple eye contact or even by making Minato's eyes contact his freaking fingertip. It's just way too hax, almost on the same level as Tobi's Kamui. Minato only stands a chance if he somehow managed to do the Might Guy anti-sharingan training in the past, lol. Susanoo can be teleported because :

- Its solid so FTG seal can be placed on him
- Sasuke teleported susanoo with Amenotejikara
- Minato already teleported Juubi TBB so surely it can teleport susanoo.

Only question is can you teleport Susanoo without user.

Let me break it down for people who should change their name to Itachi's Left Nut. Because obviously they are always on his d***

Anyway.

Minato is possibly the best analytical fighter we've seen in the entire series. He figured out the working of Kamui and effectively countered and beat Obito. People use the excuse that Obito was 14. Well remember when Itachi became captain of the anbu team at what age? 11-12 which completely destroys that argument. Minato obviously would know about genjutsu due to Itachi being an Uchiha anyway, so he'd easily be able to avoid being caught in such obvious things. His biggest problem would be Tsukiyomi which can be avoided easily by not making eye contact.

Itachi is also a very smart fighter. Definitely one of the smartest characters in the manga. But he still was controlled by Obito and Danzō. Leading to him killing the Uchiha clan and having to leave the village. Now we saw Itachi keep up with a KCM Naruto even though it's entirely possible that Naruto wasn't using full speed as we saw how much faster Ay was than Killer B when they fought and Naruto completely avoided Ay's fastest technique. But we saw Killer B and Itachi keeping up with Naruto which leads be to believe that he wasn't going as fast as he could so that he didn't leave them in the dust. Now a lot of Itachi fans will say Itachi wasn't going as fast as he could either, well I brought facts on my theory so bring yours and i'll listen. Now Kakashi said when Naruto arrived on the battle field and deflected all of the TBB that he thought he was Minato due to the speed at which he deflected them. We know that Naruto was in KCSM which has his speed enhanced even more. That means Base Minato is as fast if not faster than Naruto in KCSM jus using foot speed.

Now if we add up all the facts, the only way for Itachi to win is being able to catch Minato off guard with Totsuka Blade or catching him in Tsukiyomi. Both are highly improbable. If Itachi can keep up with Minato's speed then he has a chance, but otherwise he get's outclassed in CQC until he uses Susanoo then Minato just avoids him until Itachi runs out of chakra and dies due to chakra exhaustion.

Kakashi remembering minato coz naruto deflected the bijuu damas doesnt mean anything, coz when naruto used rasen shuriken kakashi also thought the same, for some odd reason any new thing naruto pulls kakashi wet his pants and remebers minato, atleast those two cases itachi was once healthy as zetsu noted that

when he was healthy, itachi used crow clone

all them kunais thrown by minato, itachi
used susano before lightning hit him, so he
can spring out susano before bunta lands
and throw bunta off of him, has finger
genjutsu as well as dusk crow genjutsu to
one shot minato, so minato can't basically
fight while watching itachi or he'd be
doomed, crow summon for diversions, if say
for example minato got close and wanted to
blitz itachi with a hraishin rasengan (like he
did to obito) itachi can spring out rib caged
susano to block the rasengan coz minatos
motion speed ( the speed it takes him to
swing his arm and land a rasengan) is slower
than the speed of lightning ( of which a sick
itachi reacted to) so he would react to
minatos arm swing, nuff said, itachi ends
