Could it be possible for a new religion to become popular in the future?

Like a new prophet arrives and people start following him?

If you could make up your own religious rules, what would they be?

I think it seems impossible to come up with some perfect moral code that people won't eventually put holes in.

yeah theres definitely new spiritual and religious movements, especially in L.A. they have all sorts of new age, new thought esque churches that take from all religions basically and occult knowledge. a lot of them are quite popular

yea, they're just called by the word cult instead of religion though. If I made guidelines, it'd be built up on what's best for your children(I don't mean this in a strict, smack them with a ruler if they err way). Religious people seem to look at the good around them and ask others how such could be so if not for a God, and that's the kind of the thought I'd like my religion to gain traction on. Children are the future, and my religion would give children the brightest futures and loving childhoods. How could they reject a God that builds such a future through them and played a large role in why their childhood was so loving?
