Nah,this isn't really worth debating.It's just that Hashirama has way more power than Itachi,plus seems not to be bothered by Genjutsu.The fact that he didn't avoid Madara's eyes shows Genjutsu wasn't a concern,but then again,we don't know if Madara had Tsukuyomi,and even if he did we know Itachi was the best at Genjutsu so it may work on Hashirama.

If Genjustu doesn't work,then Hashirama wins,if it does than Itachi wins.
