Could Gaara beat Itachi?

I've seen alot of people say Gaara could beat Itachi but i'm not really sure myself. In a normal battlefield, I would say Itachi just about wins it. Even then Gaara has a big chance to win. In the desert I would say Gaara wins with low - mid diff, because he can fly etc and he has almost limitless sand. I don't think Itachi could keep up stamina wise. No eye contact if Gaara is high in the sky etc.

What do you guys think?

Well i doubt Garra would be able to beat Sasuke alone and Itachi>Sasuke so i say Itachi but if in a desert,Garra would win.

That's what i'm thinking, in the desert Gaara would win. But some people are just fanboying out here.

Susano'o and Yata Mirror will protect him for most of the time, and let's not forget, Itachi starts many of his fights with Genjutsu. A mere paralysis Genjutsu then all Itachi has to do to Gaara is do what he did to Oro.

In the desert, Gaara could take this with low difficulty. He'd beat most people in the desert tbh.

Although there is a possibility that Gaara can whip Itachi out of Susano'o he can just regenerate it so it's not a problem, and we're talking about healthy Itachi, right?
