Could Ashura be reincarnated in an Uchiha?

I think Obito was the Ashura reincarnate prior to Naruto until his heart went dark and ashuras chakra passed and indras took over. I think that's why Madara chose Obito. I also think Indras chakra left Obito early and entered Sasuke.

I still disagree nonetheless because it is insinuated to only be when someone dies. I mean, Madara died and Sasuke is the next known incarnation. Hashirama died and Naruto is the next known incarnation. Hagoromo never even mentioned Obito. He said the previous successors were Madara and Hashirama before Naruto and Sasuke. Indra's chakra was never stated to be able to NOT change, it's just likely that Indra's successors are "dark" people to begin with that ultimately end up going down the path he set. Sasuke was a protagonist, even with Indra's chakra. Then, he became an antagonist. Nobody said Indra didn't have the capacity to be good, he just wasn't. Karin's statement doesn't give too much credibility to your theory though.

Potentially, I don't think they said the incarnations had to be specific, or that they had to be Uchiha and Senju, case in point, Naruto is an Uzumaki and a Namikaze (doubt Minato is part of an official clan, however).

What if Obito was either Kaguya, Hamura, or Hagoromo's reincarnation? Honestly, that kid should not have that much power.

Nope, the brothers travel in pairs. Hashirama had Ashura until he died then Ashura didn't go into anyone new until Madara died as an old man which was after Obito was already alive. Madara also said if only he waited a bit longer then he could have gotten Sasuke instead of Obito since Sasuke had Straight comas like him. Also chakra can contain the will of the person as Indra's reincarnations tend to want revenge while Ashura's reincarnations want peace just like how Kurama's chakra had his will of hatred in his chakra prior to Naruto getting training from Bee.

Except Hagoromo heavily implies that Madara's tenure as Indra's reincarnation ended at VotE, and his revival screwed up the chain of events. It's likely that the reincarnation isn't immediate, and that the should spend a time waiting/searching for the proper candidate to be reborn into.

Nah, cause Hagaromo mentions that Madara gained Hashirama's cells before the transmigration was over which caused problems. Ot way to get the Rinnegan, besides with Hagaromo's chakra, is to have both Ashura and Indra chakra so Madara was still Indra's reincarnation. He actives Izanagi before "dying" so he never really died to end the transmigration until he was old which Hashirama was long dead by that time.
