Somehow, I knew you were talking about Clannad before I opened the spoiler. I swear, even Grave of the Fireflies didn't bring me as close to tears as After Story did.

And yeah, Scorezor, virtually no fanservice. In fact, I think this is the only romance anime I've seen where there's not even one kiss scene, but you can still feel the emotion surging in this show. That's how powerful it is, man
