I don't get you, Obito was able to control Kurama with his 3T (even tho he had MS), and like I said earlier the tailed beasts don't seem to know how to break out of sharingan genjutsu.
There's also the fact the Uchiha were thought to have been responsible for the Nine tail attack even though none of them (those in the village) had the MS at the time. All it takes is strong sharingan genjutsu.

Rinnegan's power > MS/EMS.

Kurama tried to resist, but ended up fully bound anyway. It's also important to note that Sasuke wasn't just controlling Kurama at that point, but all the Biju simultaneously.


To whatever portion or extent, he suppressed Kurama's power.

And as I said before, Sasuke didn't need to awake his MS because his chakra was already as strong as an MS user hence why it was compared to Madara's.

His 3T Sharingan has the same power as MS users therefore he already had the ability to control Kurama if he wanted to. And it makes perfect sense because he was predicted to surpass Madara not be on the same level as him.
