Hey there, everyone!

Honestly have no one to ask at the moment, so thought to bring it into somewhere where people may have an idea about cosplay in general.

Anyways, planning on attending Gamescon for the first time in my life this year and have been stuck with trying to decide what to cosplay as and also if possible where it would be possible to purchase it.

Anything would be quite helpful, since I am not used to attending such events neither the concepts of on how to make cosplays, or purchasing them in general. ^^

As I said, anything helps.

What are things you like? What characters? Shows? Anything? That'd be a great starting point.

I try my hardest not to go as anything involving Assassin's Creed, it's too common.
A lot of variety. Awesome. I imagine some of those might be harder than others, so depends on your mood. Something like WOW would be way harder than say RE. I imagine wearing something like RE or AA would be more relaxing and less expensive. Good start, you know?

AC ight be common, but if you love it, do it. Besides, that look will never not look cool.

I can't help on the making part. I don't cosplay, but I'm sure there are tons of costumes online. Ebay has a lot and there are other sites. You will need to make that decision. From cos players I've seen, making the costume is a big deal. A lot of work, but adds more fun and you feel like you accomplished something. Me, I'd just find a cool costume online. Maybe I'm lazy lol Besides, you can always make your own twists to it or buy a combination of different costumes/clothing/items to make you own. A lot of options.

One of my best friends does a lot of cosplay and she needs to make the outfits all by herself.
But I'm sure that there are websites where you can buy complete outfits. I've looked it up myself a bit a couple of years ago and I remember that the clothes were really expensive.

For example:

Can't really help, sorry D:
