Since we just got a new movie, Its time to REdo the Dragonball z universe strength rankings.
Now, i won't include super because it hasn't come stateside yet, but this is the current ranking as judged by us over at the dbz wiki:
Here we GO!
1) Whis. No explanation needed. He is stronger than beerus according to akira toriyama, about 50% stronger actually.
2) Beerus. The people beneath him are gaining ground, but next to whis, beerus is still the strongest person in the universe.
3) Goku. I hate giving the edge to one person over another when they are suppose to be essentially equal, but whis DID say that goku still had the slight edge on vegeta.
4) Vegeta. Vegeta had hung behind goku FOREVER. The last time vegeta was as strong as goku was when he achieved the ascended saiyan state before goku did. Ever since, goku was a full power super saiyan while vegeta was only ascended. Then goku was a super saiyan 3 while vegeta was a super saiyan 2. And since then, vegeta hasn't managed to become a super saiyan 3. Now that he has broken through that limit with his new Super saiyan god super saiyan form, he is NEARLY as strong as goku.
5) Frieza. Frieza actually technically peaked slightly higher than goku (assuming goku was going full stop in the fight which he didn't appear to be. At least he wasn't raged or nothing). And after a very short interval goku took the upper hand. frieza's strength started to wane after just a few minutes. To the point that goku could knock him back with a 1 inch punch.
6) This is where things get... interesting. We have to make a TON of assumptions about strength here based on who's gotten stronger and who's gotten weaker. I'm giving this still to gohan. I know gohan made it sound like he had gotten so much weaker than he could barely go super saiyan any more, but hell, even after the seven year gap between the cell and buu saga, and not fighting at ALL and having actually had his body change while not training, gohan was STILL only like 25% weaker. I can't believe that he is literally THAT weak now. Also frieza made a remark that he could have taken out all 1000+ soldiers at once with a blast easily but wasn't using lethal force. He is at LEAST stronger than piccolo.
7) I'm going to call majin buu number seven. yes, gohan doesn't seem to have the same mystic status any more, but it wasn't a transformation, his actual power was raised to that level. And mystic gohan was EASILY stronger than super buu. Even if he lost HALF of his power, he still would be about majin buu's strength (fat buu). Besides, in terms of raw power, even ssj2 vegeta could take on buu, he just couldn't finish him off. Also this "good buu" is a bit weaker than the evil fat buu as it doesn't have the power offered by the evil half.
8) I REALLY want to give this spot to goten. i really REALLY do. Most of us at the dbz wiki are split on whether goten and trunks were full power super saiyans (think goku vs cell strength) and some say no. I personally see no reason why goten can't be stronger than 11 year old gohan (pre ssj2) given that he's trained more, and was shown to be more of a prodigy. Also we SAW that in the future, goten is being trained by goku. So we have to assume that SOME time between resurrection of f/ battle of gods, that he's gotten some training. But we haven't SEEN any of that power. ANd its a fair guess that piccolo has been training, even if he did seem to have more trouble that he should have with the red henchmen in resurrection of of. But i am going to give this to piccolo strictly because we haven't SEEN goten at all, so i can't say for certain if he's stronger than he was in the buu arc. YET.
9) Now is goten. I know that goten and trunks were equal when they trained in the hyper bolic time chamber, but as mentioned earlier, goten is actually trained by goku at some point, while trunks slacks off.
10) trunks. nough said.
There you have it. Those are my top ten strongest dbz characters.
