Ok.... obito has a complete staff and madara didn't have the complete ring....
well this is nothing much to ponder abt...
by history.... the complete staff with those rings are used by monks while they walk around... they will constantly tap the bottom end on the floor which will make the metal sound on the top... this was to warn the insects that he was coming and that they need to move away so as to avoid accidently getting stepped upon. Such was the resolve of the monks to not hurt another living being.

the staff he just shows the idealistic view of the wielder. Obito even whem being the bad one, had that other side still alive somewhere. He himself said that when he said that to naruto.... he wanted to constantly see what path naruto would take...

but we know what madara is... and given his motive it will be very unfitting for him to wield a staff that symbolizes love and caring for fellow being...
so he simply lack the complete ring and the rings....

In fact in a way obito having a complete staff forshadowed his compatibility towards be talk no jutsued.... lol

Complete or incomplete staff mustn't point towards any power difference or incompletion of sage's power for madara.....

Since the staff represents not hurting a living thing, it's kind of ironic that Miroku from InuYasha used it to whack demons on the head.

I don't know abt inuyasha.... but demons???? Hmm... maybe because its THE DEMONS.....
just kidding....

given it's kishi.... lets just agree on him just giving the idealistic point with staff design.... he is pretty consistent with mythology(won't argue abt it though) right???

obito's staff looks more awesome that madaras.!!

obitos rikuodo mode looks more awesome that madaras.!!

its kinda annoying liking obito, over madara but its all kishis fault for making obito look more badass than madara.!!

Hmmm, but didnt Obito "spill" as much blood as Madara has, but what ninja hasnt?
I think the top shape of his staff represents the moon(crescent), and not an "incomplete version" or whatever.

Lol, i think i remember that, but Miroku isnt really an ideal monk though

Here is the link to info abt the staff...

Its called khakkara.... by the by... it has also been mentioned that the staff is used as a weapon too... so that covers much right?
Hmmm... now that staff can either have 4 or 6 or 12 rings... if 4, to represent some four nobility kinda things(we don't care).. and if 6... it represent each path(avaliable in that link)... yes the sage's paths like deva, asura, animal etc... at this point I don't know what it means by madara not having those ring(in the context of paths)... so I still stick to the theory that it just goes to show the ideals he follow... he just doesn't care abt anyone... so don't mind hurting them...

Again... it has been said that the 12 ringes staff is held by the bhudha himself... so idk maybe when naruto becomes the saviour he might have a staff himself with 12 rings(I am not saying naruto will go the so6p mode... staff can be held by any monk)

The reason I believe this is because kishi has been quite consistent abt things like this... for example the evolution of sussano... its so perfect with mythology... the beak... the armour etc...

The half circle his staff takes the form of symbolizes his will to break the cycle of hatred to end the never ending circle of war and death. His methods may not be pure but his motivation is.

The staff with the rings, symbolizes the path of endurance of pain. A never ending cycle of Samsara. That's the truth right there. Madara wants to break Samsara Obito wishes to endure it.

Its got nothing to do with how "complete" his rikudo mode is its his ideological stand point vs Obito's.

They shape their staffs the way they want. Madara's staff is a broken circle, it symbolizes how he wishes to break out of the circle that Hagoromo created with chakra. Madara wishes to be something else than the Sage, Obito wished to be the Sage.
