[Question] Convince me to watch One Piece ( ._.)

I've watched the first 10 episodes at one point and I didn't like it that much, but I've heard that it gets better and I keep seeing people fap to this series. But it's just way too long for me... I do realize that lots of it is filler ( I am talking about the anime, I prefer anime over manga ) but something is keeping me from watching it, perhaps because most of the characters look ridiculous?

Anyway, One Piece fans out there, convince me to watch it? [SUB]but not too much spoiling please[/SUB]

You're supposed to take your time. It's a long series that hasn't even come close to ending yet.
They sail through the sea's taking their time one island at a time through dreams and adventure. If you don't enjoy that then don't watch it. Watch episode by episode when you're bored if it's not good enough for you yet.

I've recently started watching. 25 episodes in and I like it, I think it's funny but it's starting out a little slow. Like everyone says though, it's more than likely just the build up phase of the story. I'm satisfied now but I'm hoping it'll keep getting better.

Don't watch it cause you hear people talking about, that's why you have no motivation in watching it. I watched and loved it because I highly highly highly highly underestimated the series cuz I watched the 4kids dub as a kid (old nb members should know that I used to bash this series a lot). You really need to watch it cause you want to; not to jump on the "bandwagon".

One Piece is not a waste, it teaches many morals and values that most people don't get to experience/learn. One piece is not just for entertainment purposes, it teaches us many things. < Sounds a bit cheesy but w.e xd but hopefully you understand that it isn't a waste.

IMO Nothing in life is a waste, that is if you gain some sort of knowledge that you can apply to real life.
