i was reading over the danzo versus sasuke fight again and i found something i didnt remember, tobi states that since danzo has both uchiha and the 1st hokage's dna, he can control the nine tails. So im kind of confused, i thought the mangekyo was used to do that, does it require ms and hashi's cells? or is it just like that for non uchihas?

Both uchiha's and senju (hashirama and yamato) could control bijuu with their techniques used by their cells. So if one had both, it would be twice as likely that the reason they have both is to control a bijuu, or the nine tails in this case.

i guess, just wondering because if the cells were needed that would actually disprove rinnegan and PS needing them because he used the nine tails in the fight

yeah hashi was the one who had all the bijjus under control.not the uchia.

tobi was wrong there.danzo used hashi's cells to reduce the time after using koto amatsukami.w/o cells it is 10000 years but with the life energy of hashis cells it is 7-8 hours(or one day).

The Mangekyou Sharingan can control Kurama. As can Hashirama's cells. Assumingly both of them together create an unrivaled level of control; one to tame the monster (both powers) and one to subdue the fox should it turn on Danzo (Hashirama's power).

I'm guessing Senju cells somehow remove the blindness factor of the MS, which is why Danzo didn't worry about eyesight. (Though he may very well have been.)
