Once you have used the Shadow Immitation Jutsu, you cannot use any elemental technique while the jutsu is active, which is one of its biggest disadvantages.To make up for that, the members of the Nara Clan rely on Shadow Neck Bind.
It is possible to inflict direct damage to the enemy by transforming and moving shadows endowed with physical power.It is possible to attack body parts like fingers and such by turning the shadow slender and to bind the opponent's body in order to restrain them.The user can also use it on himself as shown by Shikamaru who used this technique on himself to break his finger, using the pain to escape from Tayuya's genjutsu. Remember this requires no handseal. Death Stands back as he creates a clone and sends it towards the student.
This is one of the few jutsus I liked. By infusing the blades with the user's own chakra beforehand, the blades are given the effect of his shadow techniques. By using these weapons to pierce the enemies' shadows, they are paralyzed in place. Note: These are special weapons that we carry which has the property to absorb the user's chakra and help us to perform the necessary jutsu.

After listening intently to senpai, Shikamaru quickly channels his chakra into his feet. As the clone keeps nearing him he relaases the chakra into his shadow and keeps a constant flow of chakra in it. Then he applies shape manipulation to his shadow and manipulates it to move towards the clone. The moment clones shadow is touched with shikamaru's shadow clone is stopped in his place. Shikamaru then proceeds to makes his shadow thin and rise over the clones body. Shikamaru uses the shadow to completely binds the clone by wrapping shadow around him, but he leaves it just before shadow was about to disperse, as he still wanted shadow to attack him.

After that as shikamaru releases the clone he knew clone would still try to attack him, So he takes out a special chakra blade type weapon out of his bag and channels it with his shadow nature chakra. As the clone gets near him shikamaru quickly throws the blade in the direction of clone directed at his feet. Clone stops immediately to dodge the blades, but doesn't as he sees that blades will not hit him. Instead they will just hit the ground in front of him. Just as the blades hit the ground, clone is completely immobilized. Shikamaru then takes a kunai out of his back pocket and throws it directed at clones chest. Kunai pierces throught the clones chest and causes him to disperse.

Remember. This technique is used after shadow imitation. So you need to form handseal to capture him. But after that, you don't (its not necessary...though it was shown that Shikamaru in the initial phases used the Rat seal).

No. You can attack the opponent's shadow who is in the air, by capturing his shadow on the ground. Shikamaru used this against Sky Village ninjas in some random filler.
No you need to throw it on the opponent's shadow.

The next set of techniques depend on your ability to materialize your shadows to form the required entity for the jutsu.
Form the rat handseal to materialize two copies of yourself made of your shadow chakra. Once you have created the copies, you can leave the handseal (no need to maintain it) and manipulate them to punch your opponent once before coiling around him to crush him. You can leave the handseal, but cannot mold any other chakra.
This technique is the same as 'Human Shadow Simulation Technique'. Dunno why they made a separate technique for it. So yeah, make replicas of youself (two) and use some freeform strikes before squeezing the opponent to finish him off.
The next jutsu requires you to throw a flashbomb behind to extend your shadows. Since the light increases the range, power and strength of the shadow, it helps you to form giant shadows when you fuel chakra into it. Use the same logic, extend your shadow to create a giant hand (size of Akimichi hand) that would materialize in front of you and crush your opponent by slamming the hand on him.
Somewhat same as the above jutsu. As the flashbomb blasts, its light makes your shadow (as you manipulate it) to reach under your opponent in the form of enormous shadow. Once done, close your hand and constrict your opponent. For example if you were to project your hand, the shadow of your hand would fall under your opponent and then you can close your hand which would cause the shadow hand to materialize and close like a Venus Flytrap consuming its target.
If shadow hand crushes you from above, this technique will constrict you from below.

Shikamaru after listening to senpai's instructions, forms rat hand seal. The he focuses raw chakra into his feet. After that he applies nature manipulation to convert this chakra into shadow chakra. When that is done, he releases his chakra into his shadow below and makes the shadow travel few feet from him towards the direction of clones. He then applies shape manipulation and materializes his shadow, making two exact copies of himself made out of shadow. He releases rat hand seal and controls his shadows to hit two of the clones surrounding him. he doesn't hit them too hard just a little punch and then uses the two shadow bodies to wrap around the clones and make them disperse.
If you want me to perform it seperately, then I will but since they are same I'll just leave it.
Though, they might have created as upper one only lets you hit opponent once but, this one doesn't have that restriction.
It also doesn't have requirement of hand seal in the description.

To his astonishment the hand even though is large, forms much quicker than previous jutsu. He then remebers that it was due to light provided by flash bomb. So he manipulates this hand and strikes a clone from above to make it disperse.

As sensei asks Shikamaru about questions. He speaks,"No sir! i don't really have any questions. Still I couldn't really get a hold of that cracking the ground thing in Last jutsu. It will also be in very short range and wouldn't really cause much damage to opponent. Right?"
Tell me, student. Have you seen a tornado? You know how it rotates right? Similar to how we create wind whirlwind/tornado, this jutsu takes the shape of something similar. When you shape manipulate it, the shadow forms into a whirlwind and rotates in one place ferociously. Due to his action (since the rotation has so much power), it cracks the ground. Since it is made of shadow chakra, and not wind, it does not have much cutting power, but it contains more of a raw impact power. If it touches the opponent, it will send him flying a few feet away.

Try and use this with explosive tags. This jutsu forms the base of the next whole bunch of techniques. So I want you to understand this technique properly.
Yeah, this was created just for the heck of it. It requires a shadow clone before hand. One body will perform the Shadow sewing, while the other will attack with chakra blade. So original >_>
Say if by any chance, you miss the heart of your opponent after using shadow sewing and now you want to play with that poor thing, you can form a single handseal to bring him closer to you. Note: This also means that you can retrieve items using this technique.
If you remember, the needles of Shadow Sewing can only go forwards or any one direction that the user wishes. However, using this technique, the user can extend it in all directions.
Self explanatory. This technique is basically the Shadow Sewing which allows numerous long tendrils to form that has higher flexibility. Difference is that if Shadow Sewing creates for example 10 needles, this technique will create 100 long tendrils.

I like to assume that the user will first spread his shadow in a circular formation all over the ground, so that it looks like some black liquid has been spilled on the ground. With this, needles sprout out of the ground similar to Earth Spikes, to injure the opponent. But this two part jutsu happens so fast that it looks like a one part jutsu.

After that he releases this chakra into his shadow below his feet and manipulates it. During manipulating his shadow shikamaru materializes his shadow and form two needle like threads of shadows. He then controls his shadow to skewer an already lying paper bombs on the ground from one edge and after that manipulates it to pierce the clone of the sensei. Just as he pierces the clone he also sets off the paper bomb, which blasts with a huge sound and makes the clone crumble. (Considering it is a Doton clone

After listening to Senpai's instructions shikamaru creates a shadow clone and channels raw chakra into his feet. Then he applies nature manipulation to convert his chakra into shadow charka. After that he releases this chakra into his shadow below his feet and manipulates it. During manipulating his shadow shikamaru materializes his shadow and form two needle like threads of shadows. He then controls his shadow to skewer the clone of the sensei. Just as he pierces the clone his clone attacks the trapped clone with a chakra blade and cuts him making the clone crumble. (Considering it is a Doton clone

Using shape manipulation to materialize it and shapes the shadow to create a circular shadow around him. When the clone comes in to attack him, he manipulates the circular shadow around him once again and forms many needles to come out in all the directions and skewer the clone charging at him making him disperse.

The he channels this chakra to his shadow and and applies shape manipulation after materializing it to create 100 small tendrils. he then controls these tendrils towards the bunch kunai lying on the ground at some distance from him. He controls his shadow tendrils to move throught he hole in the hilt of kunai and picks them up. the using his hand movements he throws all the kunai at senpai's clones standing at soem distance from him.

Even though I performed it just as you said. I have a question that shadow needles that surround the user in a comb like formation. Implying that this technique is just like shadow circle technique just that it's range has increased. Your opinion?
Hmm no. Shadow circle releases needles from the source. Say like it starts from under the user's legs and extends it to all directions. However with this technique, it first creates a "bed" of shadow chakra on the field. And then from this bed, it can release spikes like a "comb". So you can predict the attack coming in shadow circle. But with this technique, it is very difficult to know of an attack.

The user begins by merging with the available shadow (his shadow, ally's shadow, natural shadow etc.), becoming one with it as he/she takes on the physical property of a shadow and moves within that shadow. You move at the speed of your running speed.

well first technique was shown in Hidan vs Shikamaru. Shikamaru used this technique to lift and throw the chakra blades of Asuma, that had the tags attached to them.
And then shikamaru channeled shadow chakra into his feet and started manipulating it slowly. He slowly started to sink into the shadow of tree beside him. As he was moving deeper and deeper into the shadow he kept applying chakra and manipulation to the part that was above ground to make it completely merge with shadow as well.
Since you didn't ask me to perform any of them. i just did this.
