The edos would be free of the caster's control, so Minato could use this against Orochimaru (I mentioned this in that thread a few below to reason why Minato take cares of his Edos)

I think, that the contract seal breaks the contract between the caster and "casted" (if you will). Therefore it would seem logical to assume that when the Edo Tensei would get a contract seal, nothing would happen because he didn't cast anything that would need a contract (e.g. Kyuubi summoning as Obito and Madara did).

Contract seal - He need to chop his signature on the target.
He did it while fighting against Obito, when Obito had released Kurama inside the Konoha.
Edo tensei is summoning, just like being curse, by the witch.
It just need to have one item, related to the target.

It would remove the ability to summon edos and the control the caster has on them, like what happened with obito

Itachi still had a kunai in his brain wen he broke out of Kabuto's edo-tensei (KA), Kabuto was tryna retrieve the kunai and rewrite the control (in his own words). An edo still having the kunai in his head or not therefore has absolutely no effect on whether contract seal works on edo or not. Contract seal breaks the link between summoner and summon. Edo-caster summons souls from the pure world and into the the impure world, and is a jutsu derived from the summoning technique (all Kabuto's own words). Therefore contract seal >edo tensei. Full stop! Not debateable

Shishui's genjutsu overwrote the commands in the kunai. It doesn't matter if the link is broken. The commands are there. This is why even if the edo caster dies the edo will still operate.
