Aiden sat with his left leg over his right. The newspaper laid out on the table and a cup of coffee touched his lips. It had been three days since New York. It didn't seem the NYPD had any real interest in pursuing the death of Tony Geraldino. If anything they were glad he was gone. One less criminal for them to worry about. Aiden took a sip of the warm drink and placed it down on the paper.
A pair of warm arms wrapped themselves around his neck from behind. The scent of expensive perfume that Aiden had grown quite accustomed to.
Alexis: Mornin' sugar. I missed you while you were gone, how'd it go?
Aiden was caught by surprise. Alexis walked over to the chair across from him making not a sound as she walked despite the three inch heels on her feet. She moved with the grace of a real......killer.
Aiden: As usual, it went well. I'm surprised we're meeting at a place like this, its not like you.
Alexis reached across the table and grabbed Aiden's coffee. She raised the cup to her red lips and took a sip of the drink. She made sure to tongue the rim of the cup as she moved it away with a slight smile.
Alexis: Now now baby, you don't know me well enough to make that claim. Besides, the cinaplex was closed today.
Aiden: Of course....
Alexis: You know, these don't have to just be "business" meetings. I kinda like spending time with you.
She leaned forward and reached across the table placing her hand on Aiden's. Her skin was warm to the touch, and soft. It was hard to imagine that those very same hands could take the life of another person. He moved his hand out from under hers.
Aiden: Sorry, I don't like to mix work with my personal life.
Alexis playfully frowned.
Alexis: Aww.....thats too bad sugar. We could make quite a pair. Well, I guess we should get this over with then.
She reached into her bag and pulled out the envelope. She reach across the table and handed it to Aiden.
Alexis: Well, that should do it. Until next time sugar.
Alexis got up and walked over to Aiden. She leaned down and placed her soft lips on his cheek.
Alexis: See ya.
Aiden felt a rush of warmth throughout his body. He found it hard to resist her, but he was sure it was all part of her persona.
Aiden: See ya.

Aiden sat in his car and opened the envelope.
Name: Kyoto Takahashi
Address: 291 Fuji Drive, Tokyo
Aiden let out a disappointed sigh. If there was one place worse to work than New York City, it was Tokyo. People were literally crammed into spaces too small for them just so people could fit into the city. And Japanese was never one of his better languages. But there wasn't anything he could do about it. A contract was a contract, and he had to complete it.
He booked the flight and a couple days later, he was in Japan. It didn't take long to find Kyoto, he seemed to be a pretty popular face in the city. It didn't take long to figure out his occupation. He was a high ranking member of the Yakuza crime family. He rose through the ranks thanks to his skill with the katana and his brutal methods. It seemed he had made some enemies though, and they wanted him dead.
Aiden walked down to the subway tracks and hopped on the train. He hated the subways here.....a constant smell of sweat and un-brushed teeth from one or two of the people he stood face to face with. There was literally no room. The second a breath left your nose it was instantly sucked up by the person in front of you.
He finally arrived at the hotel and checked his inventory. Everything was where he had left it from the previous time he worked in Japan. Now it was time to scout.
1. No bodyguards.
2. Carries 2 katana at all times.
3. Sleeps at Yakuza house.
4. Spends an hour at a private dojo every sunday. Alone. No further scouting needed. Location found.
It seemed Mr. Takahashi spent his weekends honing his skills with the katana in the solace of a privately owned dojo. It was located on the outskirts of the city and was located alone in the hills. Kyoto had done Aiden's work for him. This would be a much more private job.
________________________________________________
Sunday came slowly. The bustle of every day life in Japan was a constant thorn in Aiden's side. But finally Sunday was here, it was time. He woke up early and took a long relaxing shower. The warm shower water trickled over his body as he planned out his every move. Quick and easy was the name of the game. He wanted to get in and out, before Kyoto even knew he was there.
Aiden stepped out of the shower and dried himself off. He moved the sliding wardrobe door aside revealing his black and green suit. His business suit. He put it on and walked to the foot of the bed. He dropped to a knee and removed a silver metallic case and placed it on the bed. Slowly he ran his fingers along the cold silver and clicked open the locks. The tools were spotless, a testament to Aiden's careful nature. Aiden removed the twin pistols and placed them into his jacket slots. He was ready.
Driving the car up to the Dojo would have revealed Aiden's arrival so it was out of the option. He pulled the car over to the side of the road about a half mile away. From there he would go on foot and approach from the back. It was a cold and crisp fall morning, a beautiful day for a hike. Aiden approached the walls of the Dojo. It was a classically influenced structure reminiscent of feudal Japanese structures. The walls were all rice paper, but lucky for Aiden the sun was on the opposite side so a shadow wouldn't be an issue. Slowly he crept up to the wall and removed a small knife from his pocket. He slowly poked a hole in the paper thin wall and peered in.
Kyoto was sitting with his legs crossed and back to Aiden. He was meditating, perfect. Slowly Kyoto stood, keeping his eyes closed. This was it. Aiden raised his silver plated gun and pointed it at the standing Yakuza.
Slowly his fingers put pressure on the trigger.
BANG!
A bustle of movement, a flash of steel, a single spark! Kyoto now stood facing Aiden with a blade drawn and standing vertically splitting his face. A stream of smoke rose from the middle of the katana and a single streak of blood ran down Kyoto's left cheek. He had sliced the bullet in two causing one half to graze his cheek.
Aiden:Shit....
Aiden drew his other gun and unleashed a stream of bullets.
1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8!
Kyoto's blade danced has he sprinted towards Aiden's location! Spark flew off the blade as fragments of the bullets tore through the edge's of his clothing. He reached the rice paper wall and sliced his blade down, cutting through the wall and aiming for Aiden's head. Aiden barely had time to raise his guns as the steel came crashing down.
Aiden crossed his guns above his head and caught the blade, the steel and silver clashed! The pressure of the blade coming down forced Aiden to jump back, allowing the katana to fully slice through the wall. Giving no time to recover Kyoto exploded through the opening and planted his foot in Aiden's chest, sending him tumbling backwards.
SMACK!
Aiden crashed against a tree. Kyoto was upon him in an instant. The katana swinging down. Again he raised his weapons, but this time he had no escape. With a tree to his back he had to rely solely on his physical strength. The metals collided and came to a stalemate an inch away from Aiden's neck. He was now face to face with Kyoto. Their eyes met and stared into each other. Kyoto's eyes revealed a calm and collected man. He was unaffected by the abrupt attack. No emotions could be seen.
Kyoto: Who are you?
Aiden returned the gaze through his sunglasses.
Aiden: Who I am is unimportant.
The blade struggled against Aiden's guns. Both opponent's arms shook as one pushed the other resisted. Kyoto jumped back for a moment, relieving the stress.
Kyoto: Its a custom to allow the one you're about to kill to know you're name. My name is Kyoto Takahashi.
Aiden slowly stood and let his arms hang at his sides. He dusted off his suit and looked up.
Aiden: I see....It would be rude of me to insult your customs. My name is Aiden Faithe. And I'm here to kill you.
Aiden Raised his guns and began to run to his left, through the trees. As he weaved between the trees he fired off shots. Kyoto ran parallel to Aiden slicing through the shells as they ripped through the forest. He began closing the distance and planted his right foot in front of Aiden. Kyoto ran the blade up towards Aiden's torso. Aiden leaned back narrowly avoiding the blade. He rolled across the forest floor and sprang up to his feet firing off three bullets.
CLING CLING CLING!
Three sparks flew as the bullets shed against the katana.
Aiden: Shit! Its no use! This guy.....he can't be human!
Kyoto followed behind the sparks and swang down with the blade. It clashed against Aiden's guns again. But this time Kyoto adjusted the angle of the blade and pulled back on it, dragging it across the left forearm of Aiden. The edge cut into Aiden's forearm sending a splash of blood to the floor of the forest and causing Aiden to drop his left gun to the ground.
Aiden: Damnit!
Kyoto drew his katana back and then thrust it forward.
Blood splashed!
The katana tore through the left side of Aiden's torso and lodged itself in the tree behind him. Warm blood ran down the blade. A spurt of blood left Aiden's mouth.
Kyoto: So, you're the one who is going to kill me? I think you were mistaken friend.
Kyoto ripped the blade out of the wound splashing more blood against the ground!
Is this the end for Aiden?
How can he defeat this demon?!
