I don't think so, the technique is not a continuous one it is basically taking control of water in moisture and then shape manipulating it............ although I think you can completely dispel it but now lrt's get a bit logical on this one...
Let's say it takes you a second to initiate the first technique and the technique itself will be completed in say 3-4 seconds but as soon as you are done with first you move onto second one so in actually time frame, as soon as your first technique will be fully completed by that time your second technique will already be mid way........... now you cancel the orb..sound's useless don't you think, I agree you bind him but for what a second or two? and eventually free him?? does not make sense to me.
I would have rather used the fire jutsu in which the fire shoot's from the underground to boil the water prison and burn my opponent's as*.......

Now I think it was used by suigetsu, This technique is quite strong and fatal as it has the ability to push back Hachibbi, For using this technique you shape manipulate a near by water source and create a huge wave like structure out of it and make it charge towards your opponent upon impact it will cause him fatal wounds and will carry him backwards thanks to the momentum.

In theory it works in all the ranges simply because water won't teleport to long range on its own it needs to travel, so from its creation point it can travel upto long range and also attack anything which lies in between.

Quite an easy one, first it can only be used while your opponent is standing in the water source, you make that water source explode and this result's in the opponent being launched in mid air, once he is in mid air you go on to jump in mid air while creating a whirlpool in your hand and once you close in the distance between you and the opponent, you strike him with it and cause a large water explosion to take place.

2. Uses his claw to release a powerful torrent of water to push your enemies backward.
Now remember, both these will count as 1 of your 3 jutsu slot, you can even use the beast to pursue your enemies in free form style

Many people use this jutsu, the reason being simple it has a good range and does not require a water source and is a little above moderate in terms of speed.
Now this technique has multiple phases, you begin by creating a pool of water below your opponent and use this pool of water to make your opponent blast upwards in mid-air once done you shape manipulate that water into multiple water bullets which then charge upwards towards your opponent to strike him, and once this is done all the droplets will come together and you will then manipulate that water into a dragon and then this dragon will descend towards the earth at great pace and will carry your enemy with him and will crash them into the ground with great force.
