I ACKNOWLEDGE YOU VEX-CHAN T_TThe mountain was breathtaking, visible for miles. And the area around it, no less so. Vex kept pausing as he walked, his senses stretched as he tried to hone in every detail of a specific scene. The image of a bird suddenly breaking out from the brambles of a fern, pursued by a fox. Nature was truly captivating. As he reached the foot of the mountain, Vex seated himself across from Alexander. Although his eyes were closed, Vex had no doubt that he knew he was there. Both of their senses had been awakened. He simply sat silently, waiting for Alexander-senpai to acknowledge him.
What is a genki?I ACKNOWLEDGE YOU VEX-CHAN T_T
Indeed Alexander was aware of Vex's presence. He had been aware of it the entire time. His eyes cracked open and gazed toward Vex. He simply smiled at his approach. "Welcome back, Vex. I hope you're ready to resume and complete your training this time. It is time for you to master the approach toward our clan's sacred rituals. But before we delve into the mind boggling realm of the Pure World let us take a moment to sit and enjoy the scenery. And while we do so touch back on the essentials of what it means to practice the shamanistic practices of our House." He sighed and took a deep breath of fresh air in. He turned his eyes toward Gaidar and gestured. "This is Gaidar. Obviously he is a Genki himself. So in a brief amount of time let's delve back into what Genki even are. What is it you know about these elusive spiritual beings that exist everywhere parallel to our own world?"
Taking a deep breath Alexander nodded in affirmation to what Vex was saying. "Well put, Vex. You stated that simply and efficiently. So you've awakened your awareness through a blood ritual. But before the blood ritual was performed you first needed to hone your emotions and convictions. To empower your confidence in essence. In addition you've awakened your ability to sense such creatures and even the souls within living things as well." He took a moment before continuing deciding on how to work his next statement. "You had learned pieces of the Spiritual Liturgy. However, without proper training in other rituals first you would not be able to safely control it. So for now let us forget about Spiritual Liturgy. We will come back to it soon. But for now let's review the basic shamanistic practices of our clan. Let's begin with Hel's Alignment." He draws a scroll from his pouch. What is a genki?
His thoughts flickered backwards, to Amaimon's lectures on top of the mountain itself. But he did not look towards just the past, he looked deep within himself for the answer as well. All Katsuryoku knew intuitively what a genki is. As the answer started to unravel in his mind, he opened his mouth to answer with a smile.
"Genki are spirits, savage and tamed only by the members of our ancient house. They exist in both the physical and spiritual plane, being free to access both at their leisure. However, these genki are not the souls of the dead, or even their spirits. They seem to be immortal, and have always been in this form. Although, their origins are unknown. Lesser genki utilize chakra in order to perform tasks for the Katsuryoku member. However, more powerful genki would require a sacrifice of blood, and would then bind themselves to the user's service. This makes them stronger."
His answer was spoken plainly, and with his eyes closed. Hands on his lap, he awaited Alexander's response.
