Contests..

Do you guys think Contests are worth it ? Would you spend your time submitting to contest's you probably won't win or is it still worth all the hours spent?

I'm doing a contest for Funk Volume, Don't Funk up Our Beats Contest, in which we had to pay 7.99 for an un-exclusive beat to rap to for the contest. The winner gets $2500 but like 500-800 people submit their entry. Then you need 250 votes to be considered the top 25. I can get 250 votes but Many people have been complaining about the rules and its honestly made me not want to submit my entry this year. So my question is, once again, are contest's really worth it?

I love posting and showing my art in the contests I might not win but I still enjoy it. Drawing is my passion and I don't see why I shouldn't submit it
