If you ever said that material stuff is bad and I should not care about cars, phones and shit, then think twice.

You must be registered for see images

Let's say there are a lot of people who stopped buying iPhones, GM cars, and these useless things (they're indeed useless, but just watch).

All these big industries would get no $$$ and therefore they wouldn't afford to keep the salary of their employees. This would cause recession and inflation, therefore, stagflation. Also people would stop paying taxes and given these factors you have a hell of recipe for anarchy in a developed country. People have no jobs to pay for food, the government has no taxes to pay it's expenses and banks will have to default.

So this is a logical and rational reason why you should keep buying things.

Of course I don't give a **** about Apple, I don't even have a cellphone, barely go to malls and don't care about my looks. But make sure you don't make the system crash, k?

I agree... But you do realize all these factories that are making these electronics are slowly but surely destroying the entire World... 200 years from now Miami will be under water due to Global Warming...

10000 years ago there were cities, that today, are more than 20 feet underwater

And 10000 years from now california will be a island.

And 1000 years from now, New england, and much of europe may be Buried under a glacier.

The world changes. Its been changeing since long before humans got involved. Before humans, there were periods of extreme green house gases.

Barring humans do not try to mess with the weather itself, the planet can and will recover on its own from any damage we do.

I do not view greenhouse gases as a signifigant threat. I do view pollution as a threat. Pollution such as toxic waste from solar cells manufactoring. Toxic waster from nuclear waste. Pollution such as littering and trash. Etc.

As long as we move in a direction to reduce this waste, or move on to find a better method of disposal things are fine.

Those who have been around for a long time know this "Climate change" extremeism, is just a political movement designed to take power from people.

In the 70's it was global cooling. Then it wasnt cooling like it was feared. In the 80's-2000, it was global warming. Now that it isnt warming to the extent they predicted, it is "climate change".

There is no real way to know what the "normal" cycle of the climate is.

I do not listen to the "facts" of a movement that will deny any contradictiary evidence, nor will allow any proper debate about it.

If people just listened to the "facts" of whatever movement and thought process of the collective, then we may still think the universe revolves around the earth.

No good science comes from just accepting things as the "scientists" say they are. All good scientific advances come from people testing new and old ideas. From people not accepting things work as they are said to do. Finding evidence, and presenting ALL the evidence, regardless of whether it supports your theory or not.

In short.

I agree with the OP Capitalism(basically can thrive on those 2 systems) can be very good. Capitalism rewards those who are inventive and who work hard. And sucks for those who dont or cant. As a whole, it is the best system in my opinion.

And

I dont not see "climate change" to be something man made, that is as apocayliptic as it is portrayed. In my opinion, the research that is done, is very biased in its favor, and many people ignore findings that may suggest otherwise. The idea of makeing the world a cleaner place is a good idea still.
