constructive debates

hello guys, do you think debates as we know them now are constructive ? like 2 people sitting and argumenting, I've never seen any use of it other than manipulation by the most eloquent guy.

No, not all debates are constructive or even serve their initial purpose. As many variants do effect them, specially intolerance and narrow-mindedness. And I agree that one should refrain from debating something he's totally uninformed in.

At bold; Nicely said. It's funny how most debates are 'won' by the ones who know how to articulate and construct their arguments and not necessarily by those who are righteous and honest.

Oh come on this is internet where the most serious debates happens

saracasm aside i guess there's enough debates going around either it be constructive or not or done by experts or not and coming to a conclusion is not the problem but the excution of it i mean will it be worth coming to a conclusion or solution and put it in bundles of paper not excuting it .
