[Discussion] Confusing perspective on the last page on Chapter 668

On the second-to-last page of 668, we see Madara flying/hovering in the air as he taunts Gai, talking about how the famed blood vapor looks more like dying autumn leaves.

However, on the last page, when Gai closes the distance between them and starts the Night Elephant, the ground behind Madara looks to be a flat plane, and you can't see Madara's feet, making one speculate that they might be on the ground.

But it makes no sense for Madara to have landed.

Confusing art no jutsu!

The perspective just looks off to me, though I agree, it's likely that Gai propelled himself up to where Madara was hovering, which explains the "holy ****" reaction on Madara's face.
