Kakashi has already learned how to warp things from far away.

This obviously suggests he can warp things close to him as well.

Obito has only learned how to warp things that are close to him.

That would basically mean that Obito didn't find out about the other ability of his sharingan(long-range warp) in 16(!) years, which is pretty much impossible. That makes me believe that his eye simply doesn't have it. we've seen that you can learn new Kamui tech in several minutes lol with kakashi(and Kakashi used MS for not even a year). Kakashi's eye dosn't have intangibility, otherwise it doesn't make sense(it would make the right eye better than the left one as Obito needs to touch someone for the warp)

Kakashis eye also being long range is a misconception, its just through his eye and whatevers in his line of sight gets kamui'd. Obitos on the other hand is through contact, therefore any part of obitos body is able to "warp" and become intangible because its all connected to his eye through contact. Thats why its almost second nature to him, because it all happens through contact. Kakashi cant send kamui things with with touch alone while obito cant kamui with his eyes. And think about the potential if he had both... Theoretically, obito would be able to make himself intangible while making his attacks tangible (ie. katon would travel from the kamui dimension to the real world via kakashis sharingan, while obito uses eye his to become intangible)


P.S. kakashis kamui has the opposite effect on people as obitos, so taking that into account, kakashi can warp people away from far distances (slowly) and warps himself fast. while obito warps himself himself slowly and people fast.

There is that, but there is also no actual proof how much Chakra each eye takes. I have only tried to make this theory based on the fact Obito seems to have no limit on how many times he can use Kamui while Kakashi has around 3-5 shots of it and he has been shown to have somewhat of a big chakra pool.

kakashi can teleport in and out of the dimension because he can teleport stuff with his eyesight if he is in one dimension it will go to the other and vice versa. if he was to look at himself in the kamui dimension he would be sent back to the 'real world' it doesn't mean he can become intangible because they are different eyes from the same person. different powers one is through touch and one is through site.
