Not sure we'll have to see what happens with this battle. If Madara, Juubi, and Obito all go down here than I'd tend to agree he's rushing things.

He even mentions 12/21/2012...... I have to say I thought about that myself at one time. However, anyone who actually thinks the world is going to end on that day is a complete imbecile. And for a manga writer to attempt to finish his manga before that date on purpose........... its inconceivable, totally irresponsible, and reckless on their part.

No matter what the reason is for Kishi rushing things, its seriously deteriorating the quality of his manga.
