Confused about PS slash.

So due to latest chapter lots of talk, PS slash kind of tanked and all, but i fail to see where exactly PS slash (the one that generates huge shock wave) been used vs naruto.


I mean there is clear difference between normal sword swing and "PS slash" as not all sword attacks generate this shockwave.

In this scan we can see how hashirama stops the blade some 10m above him AND THERE IS NO SHOCK WAVE, if there was he'd be dead.

Next panels show "PS slash" that generated enough shock wave to cut mountains around.


So can someone enlighten me, where exactly was "PS slash" used instead of normal swing? Or what is it I'm missing?​

I think that if you're close enough to the blade you don't get the effects of the shockwave. Though that doesn't make much sens.e

If the used motion was a slash, then it's a PS slash.
If the used motion was a swing, then it's a PS swing.

Hashirama's mokuton likely stopped the force that would be required to cause the shock wave. That's probably all there is to it.

I think the only way to figure is that

PS slash- goes horizontally
PS swing - goes vertically !!! I think . I may be wrong ! but as far as I've seen PS slash goes only horizontally !

Ok, now we'r getting somewhere, it makes sense. So sasuke still hasnt used "PS slash" on naruto then. However then one VS Gokages didnt seem to reach full momentum yet shack wave was there.

Maybe it is less about direction of swing and more about the intent behind it.

What other explanation is needed? What makes you think the PS slash is a thing? Let me know. Over hyping every move just makes trolls more numerous.

The so called PS SLASH that made the shockwave had nothing to oppose it.

The one that didnt was met by something with equal or greater force. Example. Hashis mokuton , Kyuubi tail.

Its a regular slash. When anything is slashed at a certain speed unopposed, it produces a shockwave. Go ahead. Swing something really fast. It cuts the air producing a shockwave and distinctive sound. If something else is swung and collides with what you swing or catches it, shockwave nulled
