Does today episode confirm the novels are canon? I mean kakashi used purple lightning which was only ever mentioned in the novels. ​

The problem is how widespread this theory is.

99% of the casual anime viewers think this is Boruto's doing, they are setting themselves up for major disappointment. Boruto's Dojutsu hasn't done anything crazy yet.

Unless the lightning eye cry turns out to be something big

the only major confirmed feat is how he can trace the chakra to its source like Naruto did with Pain to find Nagato


the eye is premature and SP will not spill all the beans when this eye is one of the main plots for the series

I've seen scans and gifs. And it looked nothing like Boruto's doing even the color looked like the Nue's chakra. So idk why people think Boruto did it lol

Anime is a red herring one that one. They made Boruto use lightning flash (pun) and the Nue use vortex at the same time to confuse people :lol
