Couple things I find wrong with that. First of all people are assuming Naruto is dead; not that he'll die later. Maybe he will die later on but that's not the topic of discussion.Still alive, yes. Going to die later on? Probably. The fact that Naruto is on the promo art doesn't mean he's going to survive all the way through, just that he's going to appear. For more examples, see literally every work of fiction ever made where a character dies.
You act as if once we've run out of Movie to copy, the manga is suddenly going to snap back to Kawaki doing his stuff with no time to show what happened.
Timelines make whether he's dead or going to die confusing. When i say he is going to die later, that is from the perspective of the current Boruto Manga, IE during the chuunin exams, not from the perspective of the Kawaki flash-forward. He's going to die (or be put in a situation that Kawaki assumes is death) at some point after the Chunin Exams.Couple things I find wrong with that. Second, going along the "hes already dead theory", I doubt they would show Naruto on the cover if hes dead. Also Kawaki isn't in the Boruto movie. So after the movie arc Naruto will still be alive during Kawaki's time and not DEAD.
If you look at the poster, you will see that Naruto and Kawaki are placed to the extreme sides of the poster. Considering Kishi's trend of foreshadowing future events through positioning in art covers, the poster hints that something will happen between Naruto and Kawaki. Considering the symbolism of VOTE being applied in Boruto and Kawaki's fight, we can say that Kawaki intends to kill Boruto (As Sasuke wanted to kill Naruto). You must be registered for see images
