Confirmed! Naruto is smarter than Sasuke

I doubt Naruto even knew what he was doing himself, he's a power fighting type so he usually just charges in without thinking. Kurama did say he should use his normal form, but because Naruto needed Chakra he decided to change into Sage Mode.

But then he became pissed off due to Obito bad mouthing his father and then decided to attack. If anything, it's Tobirama who is more smarter than anyone as he realised this first.

and before you say "But Naruto realised senjutsu would work because of Gamakichi"
No, I believe he was just shocked that Obito shielded himself from the attack.

I don't even hate Naruto, I think he's a cool character. I'm just saying that Naruto isn't the brightest when it comes to analyzing techniques so what makes you think he noticed that Senjutsu works?

Why else would Tobirama react quick enough to teleport Naruto?

Sasuke doesn't have sage mode, so he can't see whether Obito can be hurt by various attacks or not. The sharingan can tell differences in techniques, but I doubt he can see it as clearly as Naruto in sage mode.

Naruto was able to see it because Kurama said, "No biju mode" so he used the next best thing. Sage mode. Which can see chakra.

Naruto: That's right you don't know a thing about Senjutsu, since you DON'T have a SAGE mode. Lol Since ninjtusu's don't work, Natural chakra based attacks (senjutsu) should be the next step. Get on my and the second's intellectual level will ya, and can you really keep up with me?

Sasuke has one experience with Sage Mode. Naruto has many. Of course, Naruto would recognize Sage Mode, not Sasuke. This means Naruto has the experiences necessary to make that deduction, not that he is smarter

To be fair Orochimaru wanted to keep Sasuke at a level where he could take his body. Orochimaru DOES have Snake Sage Mode he's just never had a body that was powerful enough to sustain it(why he wanted Sasuke). If Sasuke had Sage Mode and 3 Tomes Sharingan on top of all the abilities he had with curse seal as well he could have defeated Orochimaru indefinitely maybe even healthy.
