Confirmed: Gaiden will last for 10 chapter

That "drama " is called character development and it would be very poor writing to introduce a whole bunch of brand new characters. It would not work at all with plot (that's for anything at this stage - not just naruto, even if it were a puppet master there would still be hints)

Isn't that what this 10 Part chapter should be about? You say it would be poor writing? Why? We are dealing with an entirely new generation and it should have focused on them. The enemy should have been someone they (the new gen) could defeat without the help of the old gen (K11)

We really didn't need to play "who's your mommy" for 6/10 chapters. that's not character development. That just fishing for $$$

Funny you should mention that. The one thing that made the whole Naruto manga "quality" (according to most of the base) was the Uchiha.......

....and the overuse of the Uchiha is the very same thing that has made these last 9/10 chapters seem....redundant.

All the Gaiden did was amusing me with all the pairing wars it ensued, but that's about it.

I'd rather have seen more of the new Generation kids, since they sure as hell won't be featured a lot in the movie.
