So This week a dude said I looked pretty and that I looked nice and I didn't know what to respond, I remembered that the same morning I saw a picture on Facebook about how girls say no am not when called pretty. I didn't want to say that so I said thanks. I didn't feel right saying thank you I felt like I was accepting that I thought I look pretty by saying thank you which I did not I feel like, I look really bad in the mornings. So how do you respond to compliments? Or how do you boys expect a girl to reply back? I really don't know how to repond to compliments so knowing what is expected would be nice so I know what to say when someone says that.

I think you did the right thing. Just accept that someone thought you looked pretty. Even if you don't agree, doesn't mean someone doesn't think so or everyone agrees with you.

Unless you liked him, then you should have said you thought he looked good in some way. But saying thank you is acceptable if you're not trying to flirt.

I think ur over thinking it. He said a compliment so saying thank you is of course an appropriate response. End of story

Ikr it's awkward to get compliments. But you'll gradually learn to accept that you're goodlooking for the sake of your own inner peace.

Whenever I got compliments I'd just say "duh" and keep going. People kind of don't compliment me anymore because I'd be arrogant about it.

Just say thank you. You'd feel worse if he called you "Butt Ugly". Appreciate the compliment. Thats what you should do. You responded correctly

yeah you shouldn't say "duh" i find that be very cocky and annoying, be modest.

I just say thanks. Girls and guys who deny compliments are usually just fishing for more compliments.
