Now it's Naruto's trademark, he is the current master of the technique. It would be cool for him to create the new line of Rasengan variations along with his offspring.

Rasengan is a technique with a lot of variations, and can be adapted for usage with lot of nature transformations. The amount of possible combinations is almost limitless.

If you saw the filler chapters Naruto used his "lame imagination" to create a whirlpool in an extreme situation, Sasuke was shocked by such "lack of imagination" you see...

I think Bolt and Hima are actually going to unlock a completely new doujutsu, not the byakugan, since they don't have it and it's supposed to be there from birth.
