The Wood Dragon

Both a clever sexual innuendo and a fearsome beast. This Dragon (and Hashi's wood in general [lol])has been shown to have been capable of draining chakra from the tailed beasts.
Quoth Madara: "This is Hashirama's wood dragon, that in the past has bound my Kyuubi."

And of course it proceeds to do so, which I won't post evidence of because that is accepted by the community.

Anywho, Hashi's wood (lol) has been used as a means to suppress the power of the tailed beast, specifically Kurama.

Sounds familiar? I hoped so.

A COMMON OVER-ASSUMPTION:
The Wood Dragon DOES NOT absorb nor suppress chakra other than that of tailed beasts. In every instance it was used, it was used on a Bijuu. Until it is used on a human or anyone/thing other than a tailed beast, it would just be assumption that it can in fact do so.

Mokuton only suppresses Bijuu.

It would be safe to assume Mokuton Dragon would follow the same rule.

A fork is for eating. But I never seen someone kill another person with it so it cannot be used for murder?
Of course just because we only seen the wood dragon on Karuma does not mean it CANT be used on anything else.

Nice analogy.
OT: I don't think it can supress a ninja's chakra because Madara has been the main one to talk about how great Hashirama's wood is...
Not once has he mentioned Mokuton being able to do such a feat. Plus Yamato nor Zetsu have been shown to have wood style that can do this but that might just be because they are weaker versions than him.

couldve sworn that it was restraining gai. the wood dragon probably isnt IC for either hashirama or madara to summon against anyone not a jinchuriki/biju though.

is this some poor attempt to say the wood dragon can't suppress susanoo?

It was restraining him, but it's questionable as to whether it was taking chakra from him. He either wasn't resisting because he was too beat up and bloodied, or because he was losing chakra.

Mokuton does suppress chakra in general though (see Yamato and Kisame), so it's likely.
