[Discussion] comic figts

I saw an article posing some plausible comic fights with Supes V Bats coming.

What's your thoughts?

1. Iron Man/Ant-Man: Initially I thought Ant Man could work his way into the Iron Man armor but then I thought more and Tony has to have something in his suit that would alert him to Ant Man and his suit should be near impenetrable.

2. Daredevil/Black Widow: I know Widow is awesome in the movies and DD wasn't so much but I don't see a fight where she wins without help. And I'm not just saying that because DD's been one of my favorites since I got into comics either. The man essentially has a spider sense. I think Elektra vs Widow may have been a better match up.

3. Green Arrow/Batman: Obviously Batman, not even a contest. The author uses the CW Arrow and his beating Ra's(A story line ripped right from Batman) as reason while Batman was broken by Bane. Granted the author was comparing tv Arrow to The Dark Knight Batman I still think he has his head up his ass on this one.

4. Thor/Wonder Woman: While I think Wonder Woman could give him a good physical combat I don't think she could stand to Thor's lightning and Asgard magic(whatever you want to call it). Plus he has Beserkergang(Warrior's Madness) that ramps him up tenfold if he's pushed.

Superman/Hulk: This one all depends on the writer. Both have no real limit to their power, Hulk explicitly so Superman whenever needs be gets an exposition saying "limits still unknown" or something along the lines. Both can breathe in space. Both regen. Hulk's body can adapt to any environment. The only advantage Hulk can get is if the fight goes to space and takes them into a galaxy without a yellow sun or with a red sun, then Supes becomes weak enough to kill. Supes may be able to stop Hulk but I don't think he could ever kill or beat to submission Hulk.

Sad to say, but Hulk. Could go either way, but Hulk reminds me of Doomsday a lot.

He can/does though. Comic logic. Sometimes he jumps from meteor to meteor. Plus his body adapts so eventually after a few minutes his body would adapt a way to move, again comic logic. As for the Supes Bats I can help answer that but it may be a spoiler

Bats has kryptonite knuckles and a red sun generator in a super armor he wears for the fight. The Red Sun kills the power gaining from Supes and the knuckles do the damage.
Although that's just the battle and almost every author Batman and Superman alike admit that if Clark was all out without his code of conduct there's nothing Bruce could do to stop it, only delay the inevitable. He said the same for Barry in Snyder's new run, he said if Barry came in at full speed he'd never have time to react luckily Barry doesn't go all out most of the time

Yeah and without the cool diamond beard lol

It's tough, but I think BW's hardcore training and fighting style would give her the edge. They are extremely tough and equal, but I just give it to Widow basically on a coin flip. It could go either way.

I would agree if it were just another martial artist, actually I take it back she may just win thanks to her s.h.i.e.l.d. tech. I was trying to think how she gets passed DD's radar since it effectively gives him sight and enhances his time to react but now I'm thinking she could have some kind of auditory device to scramble his internal radar up. If that were to happen then I could see her getting a good enough opening to land a finishing strike, I'm hesitant to say for sure though since DD pretty regularly beats the Hand and has beat Elektra who's probably as skilled an assassin (just without the gear) as Widow.

Yea aw man was that a great ending. I had an accident here, me too. loved it. The End Game was a great arc, I've loved every issue of Snyder's run. Court of Owls is one of the best things to come out of Batman in a good bit, I hope they stay.
You should check out the fan film Nightwingrodigal, episode 4 they have the court and a story that sounds very close to how Robin Wars could play out...

I like the current run as well. The only thing I didn't like about Endgame was the fact Batman performed so poorly in his fight with the Joker. He had his ass kicked, wich is ridiculous since he's supposed to be a lot stronger than Joker (regardless of his Dionesium speed).
I, unfortunately don't have access to the actual comics so I can't read the newest stuff. I have to wait till some site uploads it or pay too much per issue to have it here in time. I only read about the big reveal in #47 through scanned pages and story overviews. u.u

As for Superman vs Hulk, I highly doubt Superman would go into it as recklessly as he did with Doomsday. Not to mention Doomsday is kinda more powerful than Hulk with his crazy powers and non-stop evolution (wich gets me hyped for the BvS movie).

Btw, how did you like the movie so far? I just love Batman's new voice. It sounds sooooo awesome, it sends chills down my spine every time.

Joker's always put up a good physical fight for Batman though, it's one of those things that doesn't really make sense on paper but it happens. his size and build may be a bit misleading but Joker is a pretty durable and quick person for just a human. Aside from Bane he's been presented as one of the physically stronger villains in Bats' rogue gallery. You got Croc and Bane and Ra's obviously stronger or better fighters but then Riddler, Scarecrow, Puppet Master, Ivy, Penguin...not really fighter material. So that I don't mind as much plus he had just got done fending off the League not much earlier than his fight started.

True Gordon's Batman really is just filler, I don't think Scott even planned to keep him around that long, and the "obvious" choices were done so I think they tried using Gordon as a "omg!" moment. The gun was a nice touch though and like I said the suit looks alright with the yellow in it, I expected it to look dumber(idk why)

If it were pure hand-to-hand or w/ 1 weapon as you mentioned "sting" vs billy clubs I'd say DD wins 9 out of 10.

You saw the new trailer and fan talk about Doomsday then? I've been trying to stay as away as I can too many movies are letting too much be seen prior to release. I've always had faith Batfleck will do fine. I know it's unpopular opinion but I didn't love Nolans Bat films or Christian Bale. The 2nd one I did it was great, 1st one had some low moments and 3 just felt like an action movie with Batman in it. As you may have figured from my ava, there's a movie I'm waiting for way more than BvS, a movie I've been waiting 6 years for AND IT's ALMOST HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is he, a pokemon? xD Seriously tough, he totally could avoid getting his face burned and eye gauged out. Not to mention those 2 knives Joker stabbed in his back, shouldn't even be there. His new suit is supposed to be the most advanced batsuit ever, but for some reason it can't stop knives (even tough it is supposed to be bulletproof, fireproof, and pretty much everything-proofed xD)... It was just a badly written fight in a well written story, in my opinion.

What they did to him in Origins is a distaster so I really hope they deliver him well this time (and from the look of the trailers it looks like they will). I'm just gonna see it because it'll be his first real appearance on the big screens, so even if story sucks, I'll be fine if Deadpool is done the right way.

The story seems pretty solid, there was a leaked script floating around that had a very similar Bridge scene so if it's like the leaked script it'll be good too. I never had a problem with "Waypool" like some others did but this movie definitely seems to be going that route(without the 2 voice bubbles) so I hope you don't hate that version.

Yeah I'm definitely not in the majority on that one lol. 1 was good but it doesn't have a high replay value(which isn't a big deal for most but it's a sign I really liked a movie if I can watch it multiple times like Dark Knight, I could watch that whenever) My favorites in no exact order would be Cap 1&2(hated the character, never bought his comic; movie changed that 100% Cap was awesome), Punisher Warzone, Dark Knight, Spider-Man 2, X-Men DOFP, X-2, Batman(Burton). Imo these are the best all around comic movies.

I just don't think Nolan had a great grasp on Batman, he had mediocre fight scenes(Bruce had a better fight scene in a Siberian prison camp than Batman all 3 movies) and Bruce is supposed to be a master of 100's of forms of martial arts, he's DC's greatest detective but that wasn't even touched on in the films really, the most detective-y thing he did off top of my head was the marked bills in the bank. That and I'm just not really a big Bale fan, didn't really care for him in American Psycho or as Batman and that's all I have to go off of but I've not been a fan of his work, he was good in The Fighter though.
