because sasuke wasn't a danger to the village he didn't know anything about the uchiha rebellion.
sasuke even yelled at itachi to stop , when he beat up those uchiha outside of their house.
Sasuke didn't want the fighting either.

also it could have been possible that itachi broke it by not killing sasuke if it was an order to kill sasuke and all uchiha.

Yea, he show his eye to Itachi. But that dont means that he used genjutsu.
And Itachi all he did was for Sasuke, that he live.

that being besides my point, wasnt it kotoamatsukami that freed itachi and led him to stopping kabuto? X3 im not much of a theory making guy but i feel like it would make sense, since it was assumed that it was shisuis eye that freed him.

^ buuuut then again, kotoamatsukami happening in both time periods doesnt really break the "only every ten years (i think)" rule. so its still plausable.....X3 oh man......._@: maybe i should stop

akatsuki wasn't on a serious rampage back then, and shisui prob didn't know about them.(he could have though)
itachi was losing trust from the other clansmen, uchiha, the order wasn't to KILL anybody, it was to PROTECT the leaf.

actually, you don't have to live inside of there heads like mind transfer'
you simply give them orders and they follow, or use you mind and influence , will to convince them what to do...

Yes that is true, but its highly possible that shusui putted Itachi in genjutsu just because if he wasn't he wouldn't have been able to kill his parents, his lover and his clansmen...

nevermind....you could be right about that shisui living inside itachi's head, but not literally..

its kinda like the KA user would be in genjutsu with the other person ,willing them along.
however the only person we saw using it was danzo and he had senju dna...

don't forget everything after the crow came out of naruto's mouth was itachi under KA genjutsu..
Itachi was still able to move and act freely and speak freely and he still showed emotion and regret.
he wasn't a mindless zombie, he received the command protect konoha.
which is what he wanted to do all along. but who could really come to grips with killing their own parents.?
he calls himself the leaf's itachi uchia while being under KA still...so he is programmed to protect konoha.

in that panel, he even talks about the inconsistencies of the leaf(which isn't protecting konoha at all)
he engages in verbal conversation with Sasuke after the fight with kabuto, during and before.
it was a simple command, protect konoha the same thing shisui told him before the massacre
when he left him his eye.

now the decade rule.... it would only be 2 years early if shisui used that KA on itachi back then
for it to work on itachi from that crow at this point in time...

If he was programmed to protect Village i ask the same why he choose to die agains Sasuke when akatsuki was collecting tailed beast, and it would destroy leaf... And they did.

And Sasuke told i will destroy leaf, what Itachi did ? he just told him "Anyway i love you" He knew it from beggining that he want to destroy leaf, he didt try to stop him. Just change his mind.


To take everything to one account.
If Itachi would be under KA control. he woud have one mission Protect leaf. And if he would see threat he should destroy it like he did it with uchihas. But Sasuke made even greater threat than uchihas and Itachi try make him even stronger. He did't try stop him.

But like Tobi said once you use KA ( I think that's Izanagi)
The eye that has used it will Close & if you use it, it will become useless for a decade if you don't have Senju Cells.
