Colored names

I don't see why not use colors for designers as there are only two. For contest winners it's to show that they actualy won, and there is not that much of them either.

What adds too many "colorful" names is the new yellow glow, many, many people have that.

But I see no prob with the ones you mentioned.

Agreed, the other colored names are fine because they're limited to a certain number of people. The Premium User color is a little much just because an unlimited number of people can have it. I think there are other ways to reward the premium members without the color. Maybe some combination of avatar size, name change and trophy.

I would lean more towards only showing Sensei/Staff/Admins colors in the members list. But everyone else in the members list at the bottom of the forum having a black name. It would look better, but make it so that in threads if you're a premium member/gfx artists/contest winners it still shows your colored name. I'm pretty sure this is possible with vB

I'm probably going to be the only one against this idea, only in the sense that it's not really that bad. As long as the titles are shown in the member list (Red=Admins, Green=Supermen etc.) then there really isn't a problem with it. If you're only going to be banging on about 1st place contest winners and Premium Members because you cannot for whatever reason get it, or another reason, then I don't think you should be complaining about it. These are people who have earnt these things as an incentive for winning a contest, or donating to the community.

And besides, I've seen far worse than this. It's really not that bad.

The only colored names we need are people that need to be identified for a reason, such as mods, admins and senseis.
I think we can make contest winners, premium members and designers have regular black names. How many times has someone said, "Quick I need to find a contest winner!"

Okay hold on, you guys aren't understanding well, just because you're a premium member doesn't make you have a lot of privileges, if that would happen then..... I hope it doesn't! You premium users have different privileges but stop it, okay? It sucks if you go one spamming like this, "Oh I should have a free monthly membership", "Maybe a rep booster" or ," Maybe the admins can boost 2k post?" you guys are getting worser!

I actually agree. I didn't like the fact that every member got a colored name on that forum, your right. It does make the site look cheap. Same with the avatars. In my opinion, they are too big to begin with.

I actually agree. I didn't like the fact that every member got a colored name on that forum, your right. It does make the site look cheap. Same with the avatars. In my opinion, they are too big to begin with.

I just hope that big gold star is there for the advetisment of this new premimum membership and for a few days only. That's what is making it odd looking .

Somehow it doesn't highlights the name of that starred user either and makes it a just a bit difficult to read it. I don't look at the name but, the star and skip the name beside it at times. -_-

Senseis with orange name were easier to find out than with gold stars..

I am suggesting to limit the colored names... Not saying to keep them all in the members list. Your attempt at "calling me out" failed. I forgot that just because I'm a premium member now I'm considered to have an inflated sense of self worth. Seriously, I guess from now on I should keep all my site suggestions to myself because apparently I'm not to suggest anything according to your ideals.

Premium Users don't have any power at all. All they get are extra bonuses from donating to the site because they like it. It doesn't matter if they donate just because they like the additional perks/incentives or because they care about the community.

But onto the actual subject, I think I may have misinterpreted the statement about the coloured names. I think it's be fine to keep the names, but just keep the Admins, Super Mods and Mods there, as well as maybe the sensei. You can make it so you only list them as a legend type thing, so people will know that red means admin and so on, and everyone can keep their colour.

So u can just revert it back to black and well they can have some other privilege other than the glowy name...
