Currently watching code geass (episode 2)

ive heard good things about it, i remember someone telling me that the characters in this anime have power similar to levels of DBZ characters, is that true?

Code geass i gave a 9.8/10 i believe. But i am heavily biased because it is my favorite anime of all time.

No they are not as powerful as dbz characters, that being said some people do fly around with speeds that are around cell level in my opinion and they do have fleya's and those could possibly kill some dbz characters.

And of course the Geasses can possibly be enough to kill goku or at the most make them mind slaves(by either erasing their history, making them forget about their powers thus reducing them to normal human level, order them to kill themselves, or make them fall helplessly in love with them.

That being said they have the ability to kill dbz character, however i personally doubt they can pull it off. lol

No, the main fighting in Code Geass are the Knightmares and they can't compete with DBZ characters. Some characters possess unique powers throughout the series though.

I rate it a 5/5, it's my 2nd favorite anime after DBZ.

Nowhere near DBZ levels. The thing that was likely being said is that under a parallel power level, one could in theory compare Geass with unreal power as the potential of Geass is extraordinarily high.

That's the only reason I could think of for your friend saying such a thing. A little creativity and voila, you might have someone that rivals the DBZverse. Generally speaking though, no.

Anyways I hope you enjoy it. I loved it, even though I already knew how it ended because of spoilers all around the internet. Try to stay away from those, sometimes they might pop in googles images even when you're searching an unrelated anime. Just a word of warning. ^^
