I haven't heard any news regarding a second season. I think it is unlikely at this point. You should continue reading the manga now that it ended.

Doesn't make sense what so ever, hopefully the anime producers come to their senses, because some of these current anime, along with Code: Breaker, like Black Bullet and The Irregular at Magic High School deserve way more than 12 episodes.

It's about an organisation that experiments to create people who can use magic, be it black holes, anti matter, seeing the future ect.
People escaped and they are hunting them down, they try to survive the adults from them ....the main is Kurohneko who sopposed lay died in an accident, a girl that looks like her shows up one day as a transfer student..the childhood freind of Kurohneko thiks the new student is her dispute her saying she's not he helps her and the other witches survive with his smartness
Wether she is or isn't Kurohneko will be known if u watch
