Caduceus of Hermes can't be used with Elemental, as per the restriction: "-Can not be infused with elemental chakra." This means that these snakes are the likely the most basic form of the style, just raw chakra used with it. You can't later infuse it with chakra that is elemental as it would completely negate the restrictions you placed and essentially, make it another jutsu. Only the latter, Violation of Damballa, can be used with Elemental chakra.
