Name: Yakuza Clan

Founder: Zenryoku and Alucard

History of the Clan: Long time ago, the samurais were still abundant throughout the world, but with time, shinobis had started to take over and slowly, the samurai culture started to disappear. Backing off, as shinobis were conquering their lands, the samurais were forced to take shelter in a territory with extreme weather conditions and irregular terrain, mostly composed by huge mountains and deep alleys. This territory would end up becoming the Land of Iron, where the samurais have stayed, till now.
While in the middle of their ''extinction'' process, there was a samurai clan known by their medicines, mostly composed by herbs, animal parts or chemicals which could be extracted from the wildlife and terrain. Due to constant wars and conflicts, the clan ended up splitting in two factions: one who opted by allying with the shinobis, as a way to maintain the clan alive, since if they engaged in war, they could all be killed by the shinobis military strength; the other faction however, didn't choose that path. They defended their clan's pride and didn't want to give up to the shinobis. Because of that, they were forced to move back, slowly, as the shinobi gained strength and were overpowering them. They took refuge in a region known at that time as the ''Koga Region''. They have stayed there till the actual time and gained a deep feeling of hatred towards shinobis.
The constant wars, fights and conflicts, ended up influencing the clan's habits, turning them in clan with lust for battle and blood, just like the known Kaguyas. A clan with such will to fight, was willing to sacrifice everything for the sake of their own victory in battle.
Eventually, because of their lust for battle and usage of drugs, they were given the nickname of ''Human enhanced tools'' who don't know fear.

Special Abilities: With time as as the technology evolved, the clan's medicines also evolved. Adding this to the clan's obsession with the shinobis, pride, lust for fighting and will to defeat the opponent's by any means necessary, ignoring the fact they could die led them to the usage of drugs.
Most of these drugs, are then mixed in multiple pills to be consumed by the members of the clan. Much like the Akimichi's pills, these also grant the consumers a great advantage in battle, by influencing their chakra flow, strength, speed, etc, however almost all of them have their own side effects and if consumed in long term, they can cause physical and psychological deterioration, tough each new generation has suffered some mutations that allow them to handle the side effects of these drugs and ignore them. Also, because the organism of some members of the clan got used to being constantly under the effects of drugs or other medicines, their organism also developed a way to defend themselves against most, if not all types of poison or strange chemicals that may enter inside of it. This, is also why some members of the clan achieved psychological and physical deterioration very fast: since the organism got used to drugs, it reaches a point where some drugs don't take effect any more and so, they must take even more stronger drugs, which will eventually cause body and mind to root faster.

Location: The clan lives in the last samurai refuge, the Land of Iron. However, because of their aggressive nature and unorthodox methods, they leave in a more isolated area, the Koga Region, which people avoid passing trough or visiting.

Purpose: The reason the Yakuza clan was originally founded, was for Samurais to get stronger at all costs, ignoring the consequences, so they can get revenge on Shinobis, however, nowadays this purpose is completely ignored and they only seek victory in battle, independently of whoever is their opponent. [Apart from that, we also decided to create this clan in order for more people to join the samurais, since only a few have these biographies and also, to serve as a ''stepping stone'' for the samurai user's to fight on pair with shinobi biographies]

Special Info:

Yanguryu (Young Dragons)
- Samurais that are still learning the basics of the clan's abilities.
- Learn how to control chakra under dosages of drug. Drug endurance in order to have proper control of one's own body and chakra under influence of heavier dosages of drugs.

Fukuryu (Crouching Dragons)
- This is the rank where a member is truly considered part of the clan. Having relative control over drugs and good combat abilities, they fight in the front lines during wars. They constitute the maximum number of people.
Consume of stronger drugs. Organism is now more used to foreign substances. Immunity to poison.

Giseiryu (Sacrificing Dragons)
- The strongest samurais in the clan only surpassed in power by the Dragon Heads. More like a hidden and last resort weapon, they will consume any drugs necessary to get the most powerful possible, in order for the clan's objective to be assured.
- Consume of forbidden drugs, which can deteriorate one's mind and body.

Hitsuryu (Dragon Heads)
- Only two exist and they're the leaders of the Yakuza clan. They have knowledge over all types of drugs existing in the clan including secret techniques, which are passed verbally from generation to generation of Hitsuryu and there is no document containing them.
- Complete immunity over even the strongest drugs and complete control over one's own chakra under the influences of said drugs. Body and mind are not affected any more by the drug's after effects.

Requirements:
-One must simply possess an approved samurai biography.
-No Cannon biography

Ichigo..; Yahiko Uchiha; Typhon; Gin-San; Luiz are ready to join our clan, as you can see . Hattori Hanzo; ~Xanthe~ too.

Looks: Cloud stands at 5'7" with a lean build. His blond hair is spiked, and features a single large blond spike. Cloud's spiked hair has become one of the trademarks of his appearance. Cloud has blue eyes. He wears a high collar sleeveless black shirt, black pants and boots, and black cloth covering his left leg and arm; the cloth on his arm hides his wounds. Cloud gains a new pauldron, and his chest is covered by two straps, held in place by a badge representing Fenrir, the animal that has come to be associated with him. Like the rest of the party, he wears a pink ribbon around his left arm in remembrance of Aerith Gainsborough.

Personality: Cloud is a somber and dark character, tormented by guilt over what he perceives as his past failings to save those he cares about. Distancing from his friends and living alone, Cloud tries to face his past alone metaphorically and physically. Despite the feelings he may have, Cloud remains steadfastly loyal and true to those he cares about and is driven to protect them, going as far as to hide his pain and emotions so he would not worry them. His selfless and kind nature lets him overcome Sephiroth time and again.

Samurai Rank: Seieibushi (エリート武士; ''Elite Samurai'') | Kage / Unofficial Sage
Specialty: Kenjutsu, Taijutsu, Samurai Techniques, Iaido, Ogame School
Jutsu: Taijutsu, Kaito's Taijutsu, Kenjutsu, Samurai Techniques, Iaido, Ogame School, Ferocity Arts, Kyotōryū Taijutsu

Ogame School
(Kagatsuchi Kata: Hibashira) - Form of the Fire God: Pillar of Fire
Type: Attack
Rank: B/A
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20/30
Damage: 40/60
Description: The form of the fire god is a stance of the Ogame school in which the swordsman focuses on raw power for their attacks. In this technique the swordsman holds the sword over their head in their right hand with the tip pointed down so the blade is vertical and splitting their face. Their left hand is held horizonatally over their head with the fist bisecting the right elbow. They then flick the sword up while at the same time flicking their left hand up so both the sword and their left hand are now pointing up, and then they will bring the sword down in a whipping motion putting the full force of the attack in the tip of the blade. They use their entire body by dropping to the ground and bringing the left arm down as well to create as much power as possible. This makes their attacks capable of breaking through standard weapons such as kunai, shuriken, and even other standard swords. This technique can be upgraded through the addition of fire chakra causing the blade to glow red and sear through its target.
-Can only be used by a person trained in the Ogame school of kenjutsu.
-Can only be used twice per battle.
-Can be seen here if the description isn't clear enough:

(Kagatsuchi Kata: Gurensen) - Form of the Fire God: Spinning Crimson Lotus
Type: Attack
Rank: B/A
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 20/30
Damage: 40/60
Description: The form of the fire god is a style of the Ogame school in which the swordsman focuses on raw power for their attacks. In this technique the user stands with their right arm across their body bent at the elbow so their form is vertical and the wrist is in front of the left eye. The left arm is held perpendicular to the base of the right forearm across the chest and sword in the left hand with the blade extending back behind the swordsman. They will then drive their right elbow back and up while swiping the sword in the left hand horizontally across their body. This creates a circular attack that can strike multiple enemies with tremendous power capable of slicing through standard weapons within short range. This can be upgraded by adding fire chakra causing the blade to release a wave of fire to mid-range when swung.
~Can only be used by a person trained in the Ogame school of kenjutsu.
~Can only be used twice per battle.
~Can be seen here if the description isn't clear enough:

(Oboro Kata: Kagenui) - Form of the Void: Shadow Stitch
Type: Defense/Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: N/A
Damage: N/A
Description: The form of the void is a style of the Ogame school in which the swordsman makes quick movements to simultaneously dodge an attack and close the distance on their target. With this technique the swordsman rotates their body to narrowly avoid an incoming attack while simultaneously stepping forward to close the distance to their opponent. By doing this they move into extremely close range while the opponent over extends themselves, creating an opening for attack while the opponent is incapable of defending themselves. This can only be used to avoid certain techniques such as other kenjutsu or taijutsu, or even narrow elemental techniques. Larger techniques such as large fireballs would be too large to avoid.
~Can only be used by a person trained in the Ogame school of kenjutsu.
~Can only be used twice per battle.
~Can be seen here if the description isn't clear enough:

(Mizuchi Kata: Tanryuu Hibaku) - Form of the Water Dragon: Rushing Rapids, Cascading Waterfall
Type: Attack
Rank: A
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: N/A
Damage: 60
Description: The form of the water dragon is a style of the Ogame school which focuses on bypassing an enemy's guard with a quick alteration of the attack. In this technique the swordsman holds the sword with both hands, one hand holding just under the hand guard and the other one gripping the bottom of the hilt. They then preform a vertical downward slash. As they swing down they release the sword with their forward hand and push forward with their hand holding the bottom of the hilt. This turns the downward slash into a forward thrust that extends the range of the attack. They then twist their arm holding the sword and continue the slash downward.
~Can only be used by a person trained in the Ogame school of kenjutsu.
~Can only be used three times per battle.

(Mizuchi Kata: Renkaiten) - Form of the Water Dragon: Ripples that Change the World
Type: Attack
Rank: S
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: N/A
Damage: 80
Description: The form of the water dragon is a style of the Ogame school which focuses on bypassing an enemy's guard with a quick alteration of the attack. With this technique the swordsman begins by holding the sword straight outward towards the target. They will then circle the sword around to their right and back above and behind their head ending with the sword being held horizontally back over the left shoulder so that the blade is completely hidden to the opponent. Then in a quick acceleration they swing the sword vertically downward with only the left hand on the grip. As the sword is moving down they then grab the hand guard with their right hand and push across turning the vertical strike into a horizontal strike while accelerating it even further. The combination of changing the direction of the slash while accelerating it at the same time makes it almost impossible to defend against.
~Can only be used by a person trained in the Ogame school of kenjutsu.
~Can only be used twice times per battle.
~Can only be reacted to by someone with enhanced reflexes (through doujutsu or a technique like the sixth sense).
~Can be seen here if the description isn't clear enough:

(Ikazuchi Kata: Shidensen) - Form of Thunder and Lightning God: Purple Lightning Flash
Type: Attack
Rank: A
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 30 (+5)
Damage: 60 (+5)
Description: The form of thunder and lightning God is a style of the Ogame school which focuses on raw speed to attack the target. In this technique the swordsman will stand sideways and crouch down with their right shoulder tilted down. They will hold their sword with both hands vertically in front of the back shoulder and behind the head. They will then release their strength and throw their body towards the ground, appearing to fall. The hard fall will create speed which is then shot forward by using all of their strength to push off their back foot to create acceleration. This sudden burst of speed catches the opponent off guard as they're not expecting a lazy fall to turn into an extremely fast movement. The swordsman then finishes with and upward slash across the target's torso. If the swordsman is capable, they can add a lightning aspect to this attack by imbuing their blade with lightning, increasing its cutting ability slightly.
~Can only be used by a person trained in the Ogame school of kenjutsu.
~Can only be used thrice per battle.
~Can only be tracked by two tomoe sharingan and above.

Form of Thunder and Lightning God | Rumbling God (Ikazuchi Kata: Narukami)
Type: Attack
Rank: S
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 40 (+5)
Damage: 80 (+5)
Description: The form of thunder and lightning God is a style of the Ogame school which focuses on raw speed to attack the target. In this technique the swordsman will stand sideways and crouch down with their right shoulder tilted down. They will hold their sword with both hands vertically in front of the back shoulder and behind the head. They will then release their strength and throw their body to the down, appearing to fall. The hard fall will create speed which is then shot forward by using all of their strength to push off their back foot to create acceleration that sends them diagonally towards the opponent. As they approach the enemy they cross their legs creating an unbalance stance causing them to fall sideways. As they fall sideways they then push off their outside foot creating an instantaneous movement across the front of the target which is almost impossible to follow. Once across the front of the target the swordsman finishes with a diagonal slash across their torso. If the swordsman is capable, they can add a lightning aspect to this attack by imbuing their blade with lightning, increasing its cutting ability slightly.
~Can only be used by a person trained in the Ogame school of kenjutsu.
~Can only be used twice per battle.
~Can only be tracked by three tomoe sharingan and above.

(Dokou Kata: Igari) | Form of the Earth God: Boulder Eater
Type: Defense
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20 (+5 for earth chakra)
Damage: N/A
Description: This technique is used to both block an incoming attack and open an enemy's defenses. When faced with an incoming attack the user will position their blade to completely stop the attack. Rather than deflecting it, its positioned so the blades/weapons reach a stalemate and become locked. At this point the user takes a step forward while twisting their blade, pushing their opponent off balance and to the ground while also disarming them of their weapon. This leaves them wide open to a follow up attack. The user, if capable, can channel earth chakra through their blade to increase its defensive capabilities. This technique is only useful against other physical attacks such as kenjutsu or taijutsu. Elemental techniques such as fire, lightning or wind would be un-blockable through this method, though earth and water techniques can be split in half.
-Can only be used by a person trained in the Ogame school of kenjutsu.
-Can be used three times per battle.
-Can defend against B-rank and below attacks physical attacks (A-rank if used with earth chakra).
(Can be seen here: )

(Dokou Kata: Ganjoubachi) - Form of the Earth God: Stout Retribution
Type: Attack/Defense
Rank: A
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 30 (+5)
Damage: 60
Description: The User will hold the hilt of their sheathed sword in one hand and the opposite end of their sheath in the other. When an opponent moves to attack with kenjutsu or taijutsu the user will block the incoming attack by holding their sheathed sword perpendicular to the incoming attack. With the attack blocked they will unsheathe their sword while pushing the blocked item out of the way with the sheath, creating an opening. In the same motion they will slash the opponent with their sword. Someone capable of using elemental chakra can increase the defensive strength of this technique by channeling earth chakra through the sheath. This doesn't do much, but it helps resist A-rank or below attacks designed for breaking through weapons.
-Can defend against A rank and below attacks physical attacks.
-Can only be used three time per battle.

(Kosen) - Iori's Teachings: Tiger Drill
Type: Attack
Rank: S
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: N/A
Damage: 80
Description: The tiger drill is an Ogame school technique in which the swordsman amplifies the piercing power of their thrust through body movement. They will hold the sword at the very end of the hilt in one hand and step forward while thrusting the tip of the blade forward. As they do this they twist the arm holding the sword while simultaneously twisting their body and back leg in unison, creating incredible piercing power similar to a drill. The strength generated from this is capable of piercing through armor such as chain mail or even another sword. This can also be preformed using the the hand in a claw position creating a rasengan-like blow that sends the opponent rotating through the air backwards.
~Can only be used by a person trained in the Ogame school of kenjutsu.
~Can only be used twice times per battle.

Yakuza Clan

Higan no Yakuza: Shodankaigan| Yakuza Secret Pill: First Stage Pill
Type: Supplementary
Rank: N/A
Range: Self
Chakra: N/A
Damage: N/A
Description: One of the three main pills of the Yakuza Clan, which earned them the nickname of ''Human Enhanced Tools''. This is the weakest of the three and thus, can be used by anyone who is at least a Fukuryu (Crouching Dragon). This pill contains determined amount of chakra, mixed with some drugs, which, once on the organism, will stimulate the user's body tissues and muscles, granting him a temporary boost in strength and speed, compared to someone who previously had rigorous weight training, like Rock Lee.
- Can be taken twice per battle
- Lasts four turns if taken by a Fukuryu (Crouching Dragon)
- Lasts five turns if taken by a Giseiryu (Sacrificing Dragon)
- Lasts for the rest of the battle if taken by a Hitsuryu (Dragon Head)

Higan no Yakuza: Shin| Yakuza Secret Pill: Truth
Type: Supplementary/Defense
Rank: N/A
Range: Self
Chakra points: N/A
Damage points: N/A
Description: The Yakuza Clan has developed a special type of pill designed to help the samurai break out of genjutsu or foreign chakra. The user is able to consume the pill prior to being caught or during the event (If is used prior to it, the effect will be activated when the user is put under genjutsu).
The effects of the pill will be activated as soon as the user's minds comes in contact with foreign chakra. As soon as foreign chakra enters the user's body, the effects of the pill suddenly stop the user's chakra flow. As there is no chakra flow during those instances, the foreign chakra is expulsed from the body/the gengutsu is released
- The user most be able to consume the pill if he is under genjutsu in the moment, though he can consume it beforehand in order to prevent it.
- The effects of the pill can dispel up to S-ranked techniques.
- The fact that these pills expel foreign chakra, makes it extremely difficult for a medical ninja to help the user
- The user can only consume the pill twice per battle, with a gap of two turns between usage.
- Needs to be at least Fukuryu (Crouching Dragon) to take this pill. Fukuryu (Crouching Dragons) can only use it once per battle, while Giseiryu (Sacrificing Dragons) or above can use it twice

Kyotōryū Taijutsu

Kyotōryū taijutsu (Kyotōryū Martial Arts)
Type: NinTaijutsu
Background: An extremely powerful swordsman named Shikizaki Kiki one happened upon a man who has absolutely no talent for kenjutsu at all. After developing a style which used only his body to defend from every style of kenjutsu known at that time. The man trained for fifty years working on Shikizaki Kiki's style, and passed it down through his family line. As it is now, it has been perfected.
Description on the Abilities and Inner Workings of the Style: Kyotōryū is a style of Martial Arts in which the practitioner trains for many years in order to harden their body to be like that of a sword. Sometimes referred to as "Swordless Kenjutsu" the practitioner relies on extremely fast, and strong strikes, which can literally, cut the opponent. The practitioner, through his training, learned how to use basic energy, Chakra and wind resistance (Not wind chakra), to do the maximum amount of damage to the opponent. The practitioner tries to gain a large amount of momentum extremely quickly, even in extremely closed situations. The practitioner also uses chakra, in order to gain more momentum, and add force to his strikes. It could be considered in the middle of the spectrum between the gentle fist, and the strong fist. The gentle fist utilizes 100% technique, while the strong fist utilizes 100% raw strength. This combines principles from both, using chakra to attack the opponent, while also putting extreme amounts of force, effectively utilizing 50% technique, and 50% raw power. One could call it the "Medium fist" as well.
Additional effects and Restrictions: While some jutsus in this style require chakra, others don't. The ones that do will have chakra use explicitly in the description.

The user of this style has a tougher body through extreme training, and can run much faster due to being able to "Cut through the air" reducing friction.

In order to use this style, one must train for many years, sharpening themselves to be a human sword. The training time for each generation got lower to the point where the current generation only had to train for twenty years. Any bios which are capable of using this style (The next generation) must be at least 10 years old.

Kyotōryū taijutsu: Fuugetsu
Type: Offensive
Rank: A
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 30 (If your speed is enhanced with chakra)
Damage Points: 60
Description: The user begins running at his opponent at extremely high speeds, (If closing a small distance, to gain the required speed, the user must use chakra in order to gain the speed and momentum.) with his arms behind him extended, collecting wind. He gains more and more momentum, and, upon reaching the opponent, he extends his palm, dragging the wind with his palm, and slams his palm into the opponent. The extreme momentum plus the wind gathered with his hand does massive amounts of damage to the opponent. The wind pushes the opponent across the battlefield, while releasing into the air behind him, blowing anything behind him back. (Note: This does not apply to humans. However, grass, swords and other ninja tools will be blown back.)
~Can only be used 5 times per battle.

Kyotōryū Taijutsu: Aerodynamic Movement
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user will utilize Kyotoryu's ability to allow one to control how their body is affected by wind-resistance to augment the agility of their movements. For example, the user could utilize their ability to move with reduced wind-resistance while leaping into the air, allowing them to reach greater heights/lengths at a fast speed, and then, on their descent, utilize their ability to have increased wind-resistance to soften their fall and allow them to position their body in mid-air to allow safe and pleasant landing.
Note: After initiating this technique, the user can freely utilize this form of movement for the rest of the battle.
Note: While using this form of movement, the effectiveness of the users blunt-force taijutsu (Strong Fist) is significantly reduced, causing the user to be more likely to utilize forms of combat like Kyotoryu and other forms of combat like it, which are not diminished by this movement.
Note: It doesn't drastically increase the speed of the user, only somewhat dampens and nullifies some of the effects Air has on the body movements.

Samurai Techniques

(Zan'nin'na kōi no geijutsu: Hasen rikoiru no kyōka) - Ferocity Arts: Dashing Recoil Enhancement
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage: N/A (40)
Description: The concept of this style is supported by the laws of momentum, though supported with chakra in order to mold it's molecular structure in such shape, that it will allow energy and momentum of collisions to be conserved (negleting loss of energy by sound and heat). The user will channel chakra through his sword, giving two results: A coat of chakra that will work as the "bounce" mechanism, and the other small increments between the molecules of the sword, making the sword a little bigger and the mass a little lighter (as it will have a larger volume). By combining both enhancements together, the user is able to produce much more efficient and dangerous slashes. The secret behind the technique is the recoil of the exchange of clashes between the user's sword and the enemy's. The sword, being lighter, will gain more velocity from each slash in order to balance out the momentum gain and lost, thus making each strike accelerate even faster. The more the enemy defends against a slash, the slashes will hold much more force and speed. The user will also channel chakra through the arm (s) in which he is using the sword in order to prevent the wasting of the fiber muscle produced by the intense speed of this strikes.
Restrictions:
~Usable by Samurai and Shinobi.
~Once this technique is activated, the technique is able to sustain itself unless the user stops administrating chakra into the sword or the user releases the chakra somehow (such as a wave for example).
~This technique is only an enhament, though is able to defend against other sword enhancements of similar rank and below. User cannot defend against ninjutsu with this technique.
~Though elastic collisions occur when hitting a hard surface such an opponent's sword, the infused chakra will be able to cut through a person's flesh.
~Only lasts 3 turns after activating.
~Can only be taught by Gin-San and Xanthe.

(Iaijutsu: Zen no Idō) - Art of Drawing The Sword: Moving Zen
Rank: S
Type: Supplementary
Range: Self
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: N/A
Description: This type of Iaijutsu has been passed down from generations of samurai and has become an advanced skill known to few samurai in the Land of Iron. After practicing Iaijutsu for extensively long periods of times and building muscle memory of the Iaido motions, the user calms their muscles down with chakra and releases the muscles in their body to a more natural state. The reason they do this is to add a more natural movement to their attacks due to being tensed in a battle. This allows for the forms of Iai they use to become quicker and stronger due to the tension being withdrawn. The ability to relax their muscles and speed up their movements was named after a state of enlightenment and was called the "Moving Zen" because it enlightened the body into a faster speed. While using this jutsu, the speed of the user is vastly increased but will only affect the samurai's Iai techniques. This is because of the muscles being relaxed from being tensed and allows them to perform trained Iaido motions faster.
Restrictions:
-This jutsu can only be used once in a battle.
-This jutsu is only usable by Samurai.
-This jutsu requires a quick moment to enter.
-This jutsu only lasts 3 turns, anymore and the Samurai's body will be damaged.

Background Info

History: Cloud's story begins far before he was even born...

Before Cloud's Birth

On a large metal platform built outwards from a cliff-face, three samurai stand upon the platform and to the large vast ocean that stretches from the cliff. The three samurai are equipped with heavy unique weapons and varying armors and outfits. Two of the men lean against the metal contraption behind them while one of them stand away watching the sun set.

One of the men wielded a wide blade that stretched down to his boots. He had black hair that avoided his forehead and moved swiftly for wielding such a large blade. He had a broad muscular build compared to the two other men and he seemed to have an aura around him that would give off hope to those around him however he seems to also be carrying a burden of honor upon his body. He was a morally loyal man that couldn't hurt innocent people. He wears a black outfit that is equipped with two pauldrons on his shoulders, a black shirt with brown overalls that attach to long black pants, and military-style, black boots.

"Embrace your dreams. If you want to be a hero you need to have dreams... and honor."

The second man was a man wearing a red coat with a smaller build then the two others. His coat has black pauldrons on both side of the coat. He wears a black undershirt with long black pants and tall boots. He has black leather strips across his shirt and pants. His sword is sheathed on his side. The sword appears to be a rapier made from a red metal. The rapier has an elaborate hand guard. He is leaning up against the metal structure behind the group of men. As he is leaning back, he is also reading a book with the word "LOVELESS" on the cover. He reads it to the third man farthest away from the other two.

"Infinite in mystery is the gift of the Goddess. We seek it thus, and take to the sky. Ripples form on the water's surface. The wandering soul knows no rest."

The last man has a medium build and a perfect posture. He was wearing a long black coat with silver pauldrons, black boots and black clothing. The top of his clothing is open to reveal his chest, with his leather black suspenders crossed over it. His hair is long and silver with his bangs parted to either side of his face. He has noticeably green eyes with slender pupils. His sword was the most noticeable because of the sheer length of the sword. The sword is incredibly sharp and refined by a master's work. Unlike the other two men, he seems to wield his blade in his left hand rather than his right.

"All shall be one with me."

"Infinite in mystery is the gift of the Goddess. We seek it thus, and take to the sky. Ripples form on the water's surface. The wandering soul knows no rest," the man in the red coat stated to the man with the long katana.

"LOVELESS, Act 1," responded the man with the long katana.

"Hmm, you remembered," the man in red stated, obviously happy with his work. He stops leaning against the metal structure in order to face directly in front of the man with long hair.

"How can I not when you've beaten it into my head," the white-haired man said, tapping his index finger against the temple of his head. After doing so, he slashes his long blade down into a ready position below his waist and to his left. At this time, the other man with the wide blade, oddly enough, pulls out another sword to use rather than the wide blade on his back. The man in red also readies his red rapier.

"Don't take Sephiroth lightly," said the man with the wide blade. The man in red obviously confident in his abilities.

"Hmph, noted," said the man in red. The man with the wide blade is the first to attack Sephiroth head-on. The man in red quick to follow up with his attacks. They seemingly attack in perfect unison however Sephiroth is able to counter their attacks with incredible ease even with the long blade and their smaller, fast blades.

As the man with the wide blade clashes blades with Sephiroth, he mocks his opponent. "Is that the best you can do?" Sephiroth strikes back with great strength pushing Angeal back next to the red coated man.

"All hail Sephiroth, huh," retorts the man with black hair.

"Angeal, stay back, I'll take Sephiroth alone," says the red coat.

"Genesis...," Angeal responds.

"The world needs a new hero," exclaimed Genesis as he released a great deal of chakra into his blade. The chakra causes the blade to light up into a red glow while also revealing runes embedded into the blade. The sword seems to move faster than before while also cutting through the very air around him.

Sephiroth scoffed at his pathetic attempt, deflecting each of his attacks as though the blade was wielded by a novice. Sephiroth seemingly holding back against him.

"Come and try," said Sephiroth.

Genesis lost his easy tone and was ready to kill. "So smug, but for how long." He dashed at Sephiroth with new energy and power. They both were ready to kill and even seemed to enjoy this battle. As they fought, the sheer power they contained in their strikes was enough to bruise and distort the metal structure.

Their battle eventually brought them into the sky where they still fought with amazing swordsmanship. As the battle became more heated, Genesis activated a forbidden ability. As he did, he released bolts of fire from his hands with two swings. Sephiroth however easily dodged these focused fireballs, even slashing through many of them. As the fire balls pass Sephiroth, the balls circle around and coalesce at Sephiroth's location, with Genesis directing the blasts. As they landed, the fire expanded into a large ball of fire.

Genesis takes this opportunity to gather a large amount of fire into his left hand. As he is about to launch it, Angeal stops him by forcing his hand back.

"Stop, you'll destroy us all," said Angeal in a simple tone.

After hearing this, Genesis grabs onto Angeal's face with the hand of fire. "That's no way to talk to a hero!" He releases the fire into Angeal's face, blasting him out of the sky. As Genesis looks back to the fire ball prison, Sephiroth releases a flurry of incredibly long blades of chakra that cuts through the fire and even past Genesis, cutting the metal structure. Genesis is able to protect himself by blocking it with his own chakra blade. Genesis lands on the metal structure while Sephiroth lands on a falling piece of the compound. Sephiroth becomes ready to fight seriously and stares into Genesis' eyes as he falls.

Sephiroth is able to cut through the metal structure many times just after losing sight of Genesis in a mere moment. Sephiroth focused the chakra in his blade to only the edge of the blade in order to increased the cutting power of his blade. As the battle rages on, the metal compound has lost a great deal of its length and the pieces of it fall into the deep ocean abyss just below. Sephiroth easily overpowers Genesis.

In a last ditch attempt to defeat Sephiroth, Genesis re-empowers his blade once more and makes the blade incredibly powerful. As their blades meet, the mere clash leaves a bruise in the metal large enough to fill a large pond. After this clash, they both attempt to end the battle in one strike. "Enough!" exclaimed Angeal. Angeal dashes into the middle of them once more and blocks both of their blades. He blocks Genesis' blade with the simple sword and Sephiroth's with the hilt of his wide blade.

"Angeal..." said a shocked Sephiroth.

"Out of my way!" Genesis readies another blast of chakra in his free hand and begins to move to strike Angeal with it. As he does, Genesis' blade cuts through Angeal's and the cut tip of Angeal's blade flies towards Genesis, striking a deep wound into his left shoulder. He loses control of his blade.

"Genesis!" exclaimed Angeal. Genesis stands up, placing pressure onto the wounds he received.

"Just a scrape... I'll be fine... Don't worry " He said as he retrieved his blade. He begins to leave the metal structure.

"Even if the morrow is baron of promises, nothing shall forestall my return," Genesis said, quoting "LOVELESS" once again.

As he leaves, the dream fades to black...

The Guardian

The samurai wakes up in his bed once more.

"Damn, that dream again..."

This samurai is a young man at this point. He wears an outfit of a black shirt, two black pauldrons, long black pants, and black boots. His hair is spiked behind him with one flock of hair overhanging his forehead. He has sky-blue eyes that people find attractive and rare. He was a young member of the Samurai military. He as considered to be a prodigy and expert among even veterans. Due to this however, he had an incredibly cocky attitude. Even though he had humble beginnings from a small town in the Land of Iron, he could still act superior to others with "better" backgrounds. With his cocky attitude and his humble beginnings, he also had a personality of gold, always believing in the good of others. This personality got him the nickname, "The puppy".

"Oh damn! I'm gonna be late for training!"

The man rushed out of the bedroom, half dressing as he walked out. Just as he gets out, he turns around grabbing the simple training blade that all recruits obtained.

As he approaches the training room, he takes a peek inside to check out the other recruits. He sees them training in basic chakra control and kenjutsu. He runs down the hall once more looking for his mentor. He spots him by identifying him by his weaponry.

"That huge blade... It's gotta be him, Angeal!" yelled out the young man.

Angeal turned around and spotted his new pupil. "There you are puppy," said Angeal in a playful tone. "You ready to start training today?"

He responded with a loud... "YES! You're actually here to train me instead of one of those lame instructors!" As he said this, he began doing squats, a signature hobby that this man has.

"Good because I'm going to be testing you today."

"What?! I would have been more prepared than this!" he responded.

"That's how it should be, see how you can react on the spot," Angeal reasoned.

"Fine... So what's the test?" asked the young samurai.

"There's some ninja stirring up trouble in a village nearby, go handle the situation," Angeal commanded.

The samurai rushed out of the building just after hearing the instructions. Angeal looks down in disappointment but then chuckles at the sight of the man running out like a young boy.

The young samurai reaches the small village and searches for the ninja. He finds them hiding out in the town's tavern. As he enters, he spots the four shinobi and approaches them. They wore headbands with a symbol of rocks. Oddly enough, there was a slash through each of their headbands, the samurai didn't think much of it.

"You guys causing trouble here?" asked the samurai.

"So what if we are?" said the apparent leader of the group.

"Then I'll have to ask you to leave. If you don't, then I'll force you to leave. If you come back, I'll kill ya." The young man stated with a large grin on his face.

"I'd like to see you try," stated the leader.

"I wouldn't want to damage this building so let's go outside."

As they walked into the middle of the snowy town, the samurai put his hands on the back of his head and faced the four shinobi. The four shinobi nod to each other and release an attack using different elements from all angles around him. He notices all of these attacks and immediately uses his one sword to counter all of the attacks in a moment. He then moves with great speed at the shinobi, cutting through each one in a single slash. As the leader kneels over in pain, he looks at the red snow and sees the set of footprints. Only four shoe prints.

"Who are you?" he asked. He coughed up blood and choked as he asked.

"The name's... Zack Fair!" exclaimed Zack.

"Embrace your dreams. If you want to be a hero, you need to have dreams."

As Zack walked back towards the Three Wolves, he was able to barely spot Director Rufus and Angeal at the entrance into the facilities. He ran with a great energy and curiosity as his motivation, he met with the Director.

"You seem excited. How did it go?" asked Rufus.

"It went fine, handled and the village is safe. I'm guessing you were watching and grading?"

"Of course we were."

"Come to a decision yet?" inquired Zack.

"Angeal can tell you." said Director Rufus.

"You passed," Angeal bluntly added.

"Yes!" Zack cheered.

"Don't cheer yet, you have your first assignment as a high ranking samurai now," Angeal stated.

"Where do I get to go? Do I get to beat up some stupid weaklings again? Will there be women?" Zack questioned. Director Rufus looked to Angeal.

"Did I teach you nothing?! Remember the samurai code!" Angeal yelled.

"Geez, I was just playing around Angeal."

"Good, let's move out then. Not as teacher and student but as partners." Angeal said as he began to move away from the Director and newly promoted samurai.

"Here we are, the 1st stronghold of Wutai," Angeal said as they broke out of the forest and onto a cliff-face overlooking a large castle. The castle seemed to have multiple layers of defense within the walls. The castle itself contained many flights of floors with a fully lit room at the top.

"I'm guessing our target is at the top of that castle," asked Zack.

"No but we're going to pay him a visit anyways," said Angeal as he began to move away from the cliff and down back into the forest. Zack quickly follows up putting his hands behind his head.

"So who's our target?" inquired Zack.

"..."

Zack new not to poke around the subject. When Angeal was silent in response to a question, there was something wrong.

"Do you know what dumbapples are?" Angeal asked Zack.

"What?" responded Zack.

"They are these rare fruit that were highly coveted in my village. Due to my family being a small family, we could never afford to buy any but I loved those apples," Angeal reminisced. Angeal drops his guard for a moment and a kunai with an explosive tag is thrown in front of the two samurai. They both quickly react and barely escape the explosive radius of the kunai. Zack spotted the shinobi that threw the kunai. He quickly dashed towards them without hesitation and oddly enough, easily restrained the shinobi. Zack noticed that the shinobi was very short and seemed to have a small body build.

"What's your name kunoichi?" asked Angeal. Zack was surprised. The shinobi seemed to be a young genin that was just caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.

"My name is Yuffie Kisaragi!" yelled the kunoichi. Zack quickly covered her mouth as she forced some odd sounding insults at the samurai restraining her. Yuffie had dark hair that didn't reach down to her torso and wore a green sweater with short tan pants. She seemed to be equipped with a large shuriken that was unique in its shape. She also had a long pauldron that stretched over her left arm. She wore brown boots with large socks that came up just below her knees. Yuffie was the type of person that never wanted to play by the rules and was willing to mess with people to get what she wanted, she would avoid killing at all costs however.

"Cunning and sly, she may look like a common thief, but Yuffie is a very skilled and powerful ninja..."

Angeal sighed. "I don't want to have to have the blood of a young girl on my hands," Angeal said to the shinobi.

"So how about we let you go and you don't go near the stronghold, okay?" Angeal negotiated. Yuffie nodded, she knew that there was always a way to squirm out of any sticky situation. The two let her go.

"We should split up," said Angeal after she left the area.

"Why? I thought we were partners!" asserted Zack.

"I know... There is something I have to deal with, don't argue now," Angeal said in a very serious tone.

"Fine, I'm going to go take care of that stronghold by myself," said Zack as he rushed off. Angeal wasn't focused on Zack and started moving back into the forest. Upon reaching the stronghold, Zack already noticed that a multitude of the stronghold was already destroyed. Many of the walls were scarred with signs of battle and Zack moved into the main structure.

"Knock, knock, anyone home?" Zack jokingly yelled. As he entered, the door sealed behind him and two large wolves dropped from the ceiling. The two wolves were actually an Inuzuka duo that was transformed into their large dog forms. Zack was able to fight off the two for a while until the structure began to collapse around him due to the strain of the battle. The wolves attack by bouncing about the room whilst spinning and increasing their blunt and cutting powers. Zack observed and was able to follow their attack patterns with ease. Zack finds a time to strike and strikes down both of the wolves in a single slash.

"And Angeal calls me the puppy," Zack mumbled under his breath. As he said this, the two wolves disappeared in a smoke and the true Inuzuka duo appeared. These two attacked Zack with great speed and catching him off guard. From the ceiling, Angeal was able to jump in between the duo and stop them with two strikes to the temples. Angeal's posture seemed off to Zack.

"We're leaving now," Angeal told Zack. Zack nodded and put away his weapons. He moved out with Angeal back to the Three Wolves.

On their way back, Angeal noticed some odd movement. In a sudden, he dashed far ahead of Zack and deep into the forest. As Zack tried to follow him, many people dressed in long red coats jumped out around Zack. When Zack inspected the men, he saw that they all had the same face, features, eyes, and everything. He remembered his training and saw through this and knew they were using some sort of cloning or transformation technique to emulate the original one.

These clones or illusions however moved in perfect sync which suggested they were clones but something seemed off about these clones. Zack worked hard to defeat them but was eventually able to defeat them. While fighting them, Zack noticed that they fought like the samurai that were in training that he saw this morning. These weren't clones, they were sacrifices that were made to look like the original. Zack horrified at this sight felt like throwing up at the thought of someone using these innocent recruits for an elaborate cloning technique.

Just as Zack is about to move on, one of the clones does a summoning technique that summons an immense human-like creature. The creature had flames excreting from holes around the body as well as two large horns on either side if its head. The beast also projected fire from its head. It was capable of forming a create amount of fire anywhere around. Zack was capable of holding his own for a short while but the battle turned to the beast's favor. Zack noticed that the beast itself was actually just a puppet shell that manipulated and twisted the chakra of the one that summoned it. The creature was stealing the life chakra of the shinobi in order to live and fight.

When Zack was knocked to the ground, Ifrit created a large storm of fire above him and directed it to Zack. As the ball closed on Zack, a man with an immense katana dispersed the fire in a single slash. Just after doing so, he cut through Ifrit, scarring it and removing one of its horns. Zack stared in admiration at his hero. The man turned around and looked at the young samurai. Zack just stood there admiring him, dumb-founded that one of the strongest samurai was in front of him.

"Sephiroth..." Zack mumbled.

"You're Angeal's puppy aren't you?" asked Sephiroth.

"Yeah, where is he?" said Zack in a worried tone. Sephiroth turned around and composed himself. He began walking away in the direction that Angeal went to.

"He deserted us," said a calm Sephiroth.

"What?! He would never betray us! Never!" yelled Zack in denial.

"Angeal left with his friend, Genesis. I see you've met with his scum. He gave up the samurai way to gain power with shinobi, even allowing them to experiment on his body. A disgusting traitor, along with Angeal," said Sephiroth, scoffing at the thought of Genesis attempting to become stronger. Zack sat on the ground, still in denial.

"Genesis... and Angeal... No... Angeal would never leave us!" yelled Zack. Sephiroth left without a word.

Zack was assigned his next assignment. Hunt down Genesis. He was accompanied by a recently allied shinobi named Tseng. Tseng wears a simple black suit with shoulder-length hair that was tied into a ponytail and held behind him. He also has a tilak on his forehead. Tseng was a direct, professorial shinobi that was building a mercenary organization from scratch. He is ruthless is his methods and will do anything to assure complete success but there seems to be some heart left deep within him.

"All evidence of misconduct must be erased. Company rules."

Normally Zack is very talkative and outgoing when it comes to new people but due to recent events, he seems to have fallen into a deep depression. Tseng leads the way on the hunt for Genesis while Zack follows his lead. Tseng decides to look into the past of Genesis and Angeal, noticing that they both originated from the same village. They both came from Banora village.

Upon arriving in Banora village, they decided to check on Genesis' family to see if they heard anything. The house that Genesis' family owned was immense and had many apple trees just on the outside. These apples were different however. Instead of a crisp red color, they were a fainted purple color. Zack noticed the beauty of the apple but decided it was better to not steal one from their house.

As Tseng knocked on the door, while Zack was observing the apple, Tseng never got a response. He decided to enter without warning and found nobody in the house. As Tseng looked around, he noticed two wooden structures outside. As he looked at the two structures, he noticed what they were there for, grave markers for Genesis' parents. As Tseng discovers the graves, Zack notices movement within the village, which he hadn't noticed after spending some time in the village. He moved towards it and found a small house.

As he enters, he sees an old woman waiting at a table. She seemed to be in a great amount of pain, physically and mentally. She turned to Zack and eye-balled him up and down. Noticing his outfit he asked Zack a question that hurt Zack and her.

"Do you know where Angeal is?" asked the woman. Zack steps back and realizes who this woman is. Angeal's mother.

"I'm... I'm not sure... I will bring him back to you," Zack trying to console the woman.

"Thank you dear, thank you so much..."

Zack stepped back outside. Taking a step back and calming down, he noticed another path to a large building in the back of the village. Zack began to walk towards the factory. As he enters the building, he notices feathers scattered across the ground and sees a man in the center. Genesis.

Tseng quickly catches up to Zack and spots Genesis.

"Be careful Zack, he's incredibly powerful," Tseng warned Zack.

Tseng charged in first in order to test the extent of his abilities but before he knew it, he was heavily injured and Genesis was ready to attack Zack in an instant. Zack stunned by the display of power and speed, stands dumb-founded in awe of Genesis. As Genesis is about to strike down Zack, a miracle arrives to save him. Angeal blocks Genesis with his blade and forces Genesis off.

"Run!" yelled Angeal at Zack. Angeal pushes Zack out of the way and out of the building. Tseng is also able to escape the building. Zack is hesitant to leave but he is forced to.

"We need to leave now. My men will be destroying this village now that they have sensed my pain and the target. They will do it whether we are able to leave or not," said a worried Tseng.

"Oh no..." Zack mumbled. He sprints towards Angeal's old house. When he arrives, he barges in and sees a horrific sight. Angeal's mother, dead on the ground. What truly horrified him next was the man standing above her, Angeal.

"Why, Angeal?! Have you forgotten your own lessons!? What about your honor?! Your diginity?!" Zack yells this while running towards him. He delivers a powerful punch to the side of Angeal's face. Angeal recovering from the blow, stared back at Zack.

Before Zack can do anymore, he is grappled and tossed onto the ground by Genesis from behind. Angeal then begins to leave as Zack gets back up.

"You're getting to be a nuisance, you know that?" Genesis spat in his face. Genesis then cut his thumb with a sharp tooth and began summoning an immense creature. The creature was a lizard with a gigantic build. This lizard however had two immense wings on either side of his body that allowed him to fly with ease and great speed. As it was summoned, it destroyed the house with but a bat of its wings. The creature however like the previous one, is not an actual creature but a giant puppet that steals chakra around it. The chakra that was stolen from Genesis however didn't affect him, proving that his chakra reserves were immense. Genesis then began walking away from the destroyed house and the village, going in the same direction as Angeal.

As Zack began standing up, the Bahamut attacked Zack with a large claw that slammed Zack across the village. Bahamut quickly flew up and readied itself to release a powerful stream of chakra at the samurai. Zack still despairing, closes his eyes for a moment. There was so much to think about, the future, the past, and then finally the present. He thought about the time when he was admitted into the Samurai corps and he met his mentor, Angeal. He thought of what life would be like after he was able to become a hero. He thought about what was going on now... He realized that the time to think was over.

Zack quickly recovered off the ground and uses his Iaido to strike Bahamut. He is able to cut through its shoulder and through a bit of its wing. As he does, the Bahamut loses control over his flight and lands on the ground behind Zack. Zack feels a sharp pain in his right shoulder. Bahamut had crushed his shoulder with the force of the blow. Zack tossed the sword into his other hand. As he went to sheathe his sword, the Bahamut began to release a stream of chakra. Zack with only one option is forced to counter it with his own blast of chakra that he releases from the sword. He knew Bahamut wouldn't make the same mistake as allowing Zack to perform Iaido to critically injure it once more.

He knows that the situation is almost hopeless. He could only do one thing in order to live and defeat the monster. Zack relaxes all of his muscles and releases another blast of chakra in an arc upwards at an angle to the right. As he slices in the direction, he flips his hand position and re-sheathes his blade. He then dashes at the monster while relaxing all of his muscles and placing chakra into all of his body. As he does, he is able to perform Iaido with even greater speed than even the dragons of the samurai. He is able to cut through Bahamut's arm, severing it from the body. Zack is on the other side of Bahamut now and he looks back. He is horrified from the sight. Bahamut readjusts his weight and begins to stand back up. Zack is out of chakra and options, he kneels down ready to be destroyed by Bahamut. The might beast begins a wide arcing strike with its remaining arm but just as it attacks, it dissipates into ash and poofs back to where it was summoned from.

Zack sits down. He thinks about what just happened. He cries out loudly and loses consciousness.

As Zack lies unconscious, Tseng grabs a hold of him and holds him over his shoulder. The two flee out of the village. As they leave, Zack opens his eyes for moments and sees the village, burning and dying. He may have ended up much like this village but luckily he was able to live on.

Tseng and his group of shinobi travel back to the Three Wolves with Zack. Upon returning, Tseng reports to Director Rufus with all the information they have obtained.

Rufus was organized in his work and had always been very mysterious, rarely associating with other people. The only people he seemed to trust to get close enough to were the Turks, the organization Tseng led, and Sephiroth. He didn't seem to get to know them because he wanted to but instead wanted to gain their trust. He seemed to be a deceitful man, not a true samurai thought Zack when his mind wandered, it was no wonder why he often associated with ninjas.

Tseng left to find Genesis once more while Zack rested for many days.

Zack woke up in the recovery barracks. He noticed that his shoulder was patched up and that his armor was next to the bed, tidily placed. He wondered who put his armor there and flashes from his slumber entered his conscious mind. A woman with dark red hair and a suit similar to Tseng's. She must have been the medical specialist that was sent to help Zack recover and take care of him for the time.

Zack felt uneasy as he began to stand up. Not from the exhaustion but from the fact that nobody seemed to be here. He didn't notice the normal chatting recruits through the hallway or the medical staff. He put his armor back on and walked out of the medical barracks. He still didn't notice anybody. He walked out of the barracks and wandered the halls, looking for anybody. He couldn't find a single person so he decided to check the other parts of the Three Wolves.

As he exited the structure, he was attacked by clones, much like the ones before. Genesis had decided to make his move. Zack fought off the set of clones and began moving forward into the snowy plains. He spotted the main battlefield. Many samurai were fighting off Genesis clones. He also spotted a few Turks , in particular the one that nursed him to health. He rushed to her side and fought off all the nearby clones with ease.

"I think I'm feeling better," Zack said jokingly. As he put his sword behind his head and grinned at the Turk.

"Thank you Zack," she said.

"And your name is?" He asked.

"Cissnei," she told him. It wasn't her real name. All of the Turks were assigned a name so that their identities could never be compromised. Cissnei was a young woman with dark red hair that waved down to her back. She has light brown eyes and seems to be very quiet. She keeps high focus and is also seemingly cold-hearted but she does value human life and is understanding of others' situations unlike many Turks.

"Wings symbolize freedom for those who have none. They don't symbolize monsters."

"I need to go join the fight, you should back off," said Zack noticing the injuries that she sustained.

"You're right, thank you..." said Cissnei as she backed off. She took a few glances back at Zack while leaving.

Zack rushed back into battle. This is where he felt he belonged. In the middle of a battle, fighting to the very end. He enjoyed the battle to the very end. He saw someone else also enjoying themselves, Sephiroth. When he approached Sephiroth, he noticed him.

"We need to find Genesis, I think he may be holed up with Doctor Hollander," said Sephiroth. Doctor Hollander was a medical assistant at the Three Wolves but he also conducted experiments in his free time.

"Alright, we need to save our friends!" yelled Zack. Sephiroth chuckled silently at the samurai. The two moved out into the Three Wolves in order to find the Doctor. When they reached a large room with many pillars in it and no lighting, they knew that this was the Doctor's dormitory. The room was large and lifeless with only a single light in the very back. At this light, a man stepped out of the darkness and into the light.

"Angeal..." Zack mumbled to himself. Angeal stepped in front of the fire, illuminating the sides of his face and body but not the center.

"Why Angeal?! Why?!" Zack yelled at Angeal.

"... I want to change the world. This world hasn't punished the ones who have wronged me and thus a new world must be created in its place. One where justice can take place," said Angeal. Angeal began to explain his situation and the life that he was forced to live.

"I'm a monster, created by these twisted shinobi... Monsters have no honor," Angeal told Zack. As he did, he pulled out his large blade and used a wide arc while releasing an immense blast of chakra. As he did, he hesitated and aimed the attack down towards the ground at Zack's feet. Sephiroth was able to easily dodge the attack and stay on the floor remaining near the entrance. Zack, however, fell down into the pit created by Angeal.

Zack fell down and as he fell, he could only think of what Angeal was saying. He called himself a monster, an abomination according to society. He began to put himself into Angeal's shoes. He began to felt the burden of being an existing irony. Trying to carry the burden of honor for samurais while also being a manufactured monster. Zack felt the pain that Angeal was going through.

Zack landed in a large pool of water. While re-emerging, he left his body limp and wanted to just rest forever. He thought he died and was being brought to heaven. He heard a basket fall behind him. He looked over and saw a beautiful woman, his angel.

"An angel..." Zack mumbled. He looked at her. As he floated to the side of the oasis, she quickly pulls him out. He was staring at her. She was his idea of an angel. She had brown hair that was long enough to be braided into a single braid down her back. Her hair also cornered her face and revealed her forehead. She wears a white dress with a red camisole underneath. The white dress is outlined in a sky blue color. Zack also noticed her deep blue eyes. She seems to act out of kindness and wants to help Zack. Zack sensed the purity in her heart, noting how much she was a real angel.

"I never blamed you. Not once. You came for me... that's all that matters."

As Zack got out of the water, he couldn't take his eyes off of her. When he stood up, he only had one thing to say.

"Are you an angel?" asked Zack.

"... I can't say that I am, why? Do I look like one?" asked the woman. She said as she moved back slightly. Zack grabbed her by both shoulders and eye-balled her.

"Yeah! Thanks for saving me! I have to repay you back somehow," Zack said to her.

"Oh no, it's nothing at all," she said as she tried to squirm out of his hold.

"No I have to! It's part of my honor... But first, what's your name?" Zack said to her. Zack felt a sting of pain in the word honor but he worked through it.

"Aerith... Aerith Gainsborough," she said while avoiding his stare.

"Alright Aerith, I'm gonna take you on a date as repayment for saving me," Zack said to her while looking into her eyes.

"Hmm... I don' think so," she said with a smile on her face. Zack let go and looked down.

"Damn, can I at least get something for you, later?" asked Zack.

"Sure, if it's not too expensive," said Aerith.

"Great! So what are you doing down here Aerith?" said Zack while looking up into the opening.

"This is my home," she said with a large grin. Zack thought about the times when the Land of Iron was involved with many shinobi wars and how a great deal of civilians were forced to retreat to the Three Wolves for safety. Her family must have lived in this underground area for a long time. While thinking about it, Zack began to observe his surroundings. The great opening in the ceiling was where he fell from. Just under the opening was a large oasis with many chunks from the floor lying there. Zack also noticed all of the natural lights around him. There were glowing rocks around the cave that lit up the cave. He also noticed a natural pathway up past the oasis and opposite of the pathway was a large building. The building seemed to be partly run down.

Would you like to look around? Samurai boy?" said Aerith while Zack was seemingly daydreaming.

"Oh! I forgot tell you my name, I'm sorry. It's Zack, Zack Fair!" said Zack with his old energy. Aerith laughed at how excited he became in an instant.

"Alright!" said Aerith. She began to walk into the building.

"Come on in, Zack," she said while turning her head towards Zack. He followed her instructions and followed her in, while watching her. Zack truly saw the beauty in her.

As he entered the building, he saw rows of seats and at the end of the rows was an opening in the floor. The roof of the house was open in random locations but one in particular over the opening. The same glowing rocks were present in this opening and created light down into the opening. The opening was the most prominent location int he entire building. When Zack entered, it was the first thing he noticed. There were many flowers in the opening. The flowers were a bright yellow color.

"Wow, they're beautiful," Zack said as he walked towards the flowers. He stood in awe of how a flower could grow in such conditions but then realized that by some miracle their seeds happened into the cave. Into the perfect position, an area lit up with water in the ground. He thought about his own position, with this woman. It was perfect.

"One day, I want the entire world to be filled up with these flowers," said Aerith.

"That's a wonderful dream," Zack said as he grabbed her hands in his.

"You can make your dream come true if you try hard enough Aerith. Never give up on them!" Zack told her. Zack needed this experience. He felt his energy flow back into him. He knew he could face Angeal and help him.

"Thank you, Zack," Aerith said after a pause.

"I just noticed something... I think you would look perfect in pink!" Zack said while looking through his supplies. He found a pink ribbon that he got from his mom. He never wore it so he thought that Aerith might appreciate it. He signaled for her to turn around and tied the pink bow in her hair. As she turned back around, Zack stared at her. He felt his heart jump.

"I see you two are having fun," said a voice from the doorway. The two looked to the door and separated from each other. Tseng was standing at the door.

"Zack, it's time to go. We have Genesis on the run," said Tseng while glancing at Aerith.

"Alright, give me a moment," said Zack. He turned back to Aerith, gave her a smile, and hugged her.

"Thank you... You did more than you know," said Zack to Aerith as he held her tightly. He stepped away and walked out with Tseng, up the path with him. Aerith stood in the home, smiling. Thinking to herself if this was the love that she heard about.

As Tseng and Zack reached the outside mouth, Zack was stunned by the sight he saw. Angeal was approaching him.

"Angeal..." Zack mumbled while looking away.

"Zack, we have to work together to defeat Genesis," said Angeal.

"What? Bu-" Zack was saying as he was interrupted.

"No questions," Angeal said in a stern voice. Zack nodded. Angeal led the way into the main wolf head and into the center room. Upon entering, they meet up with Genesis once more.

Genesis appears to be arguing with somebody in the room with him, Doctor Hollander.

"Genesis! It's time to end this!" Angeal yelled at Genesis. Angeal rushes towards Genesis with his wide blade. As he does, Zack gets ready to fight but somebody stops him. Sephiroth places a hand against his and stops him from un-sheathing his blade. Sephiroth was engrossed in their battle, watching every movement. While the two are fighting, Zack is attacked from behind and a few of Genesis' elite soldiers lead the charge. They were hiding within the stronghold and were ready to fight Zack. They force Zack away from the battle but Zack is able to defeat them.

Upon returning the battlefield, Genesis and Angeal have disappeared once more. Sephiroth appears to disappeared as well.

After regrouping, Zack is re-assigned his main mission, hunt for Genesis. This time, however, they have a lead. Genesis appears to have been hiding in the high mountains near the Land of Lightning. Zack is given a squad of three samurai to lead into the mountains to capture Genesis. Along with Tseng the group moves into the mountains.

Upon reaching halfway up the mountain path in a blizzard, the group decides to take a break in a cave after noticing that half the group is behind. Tseng and two samurai have fallen behind. Tseng only wearing his suit was fatigued by the cold but the others had full armor on which allowed for them to take the effects of the weather much more easily. The samurai armor was a special fitting that had a standard samurai over-shirt, silver pauldrons, a green scarf, brown gloves, large blue pants, brown boots with leather straps, and iron knee guards. They all came equipped with a silver helmet to cover their heads.

Zack takes this opportunity to learn about his new squad. He talks to the two slower samurai. These two appear to be newer to the samurai order and haven't been trained as much as Zack. They have kind souls however and seem to know that they need to work hard to get farther. Zack sees this in them and is glad that they have the ability to work hard.

Zack then meets up with the third samurai, after a short conversation with Tseng. The third samurai seems to be from a village similar to Zack's in the Land of Iron, specifically the Koga region. He is a top of the class samurai but not a prodigy like Zack was but he has potential. Zack had an image flash before him. It was the time when Angeal took an interest in Zack and wanted to train him to became a 1st class samurai. This time the positions were reversed Zack thought to himself. He wanted to become this samurai's Angeal.

"Where are you from?" said Zack.

"I'm from Nibelheim in the Koga region. How about you?" said the samurai.

"I'm from Gongaga near the border," Zack replied. The samurai laughed.

"What is it?" said Zack.

"It's such a backwater name," the samurai continued as he chuckled.

"Not too different then Nibelheim," Zack said. "Guess we're both country boys."

"Yeah," said the samurai.

"Hey Tseng! We have another country boy here that can keep up, uh..-" before Zack was interrupted.

"Cloud, Cloud Strife," said the samurai. The samurai removed his helmet. He has blond hair that is spiked, and features a single large blond spike. He has blue eyes. He has a strong face with a kind eyes. He hadn't seen much action from what Zack could tell.

Zack laughed a little. Then spoke.

"Alright Cloud, let's get going," Zack said as he exited the cave continued on with the group.

When they reached the town, the town had been abandoned and instead occupied with Genesis clones once more. The group fights their way through and eventually happen upon a large metal structure that has been embedded into the very mountain. Zack has the two samurai and Tseng defend the entrance while Zack and Cloud enter the structure.

The metal structure is large and seems to have been used to mine for minerals. As Zack and Cloud venture down, they eventually see a platform of metal in front of them. On the platform are two people, seemingly arguing. Zack is able to spot one of the men as Genesis and the other as Doctor Hollander.

Zack rushes out while signalling for Cloud to capture the Doctor at the same time.

"Genesis! Stop!" Zack yelled as he ran out and blocked Genesis' attack on the Doctor.

"Nobody knows where the cells are Genesis! Not even Hojo!" the Doctor yelled at Genesis while being restrained by Cloud.

Zack and Genesis began to clash blades. As Cloud watched, Doctor Hollander elbowed Cloud allowing for him to escape.

"Cloud, go!" Zack yelled at him to go get Doctor Hollander before he could get too far away.

The battle between Genesis and Zack fought for a great time but the longer the fight went on, the more Zack noticed that Genesis seemingly slowed down. The fight didn't last much longer once Zack noticed that this fight was already over. Genesis was fatigued and weak. Zack finished the fight but before he could, Genesis spoke.

"Dreams of the morrow hath the shattered soul. Pride is lost. Wings stripped away. The End is Nigh... Such is the fate of a monster," quoting LOVELESS once more.

"We're not monsters! We're samurai! Where's your honor?" Zack told Genesis.

Ignoring Zack, "Even if the morrow is barren of promises. Nothing shall forestall my return," said Genesis. He moves ever closer to the edge of the platform.

"If this world seeks my destruction... It goes with me," Genesis said as he fell down into the darkness of the mine shaft. Zack looks over the edge but can't see past the darkness.

"Genesis..." Zack spoke to himself. He turns around and heads back to join up with Cloud once again.

Zack rushed outside and couldn't find anybody. He looked at the ground and followed their footsteps until he saw them once more. The whole group was resting outside of a bathhouse.

"Tseng, what's the situation?" asked Zack.

"Doctor Hollander has holed up within the bathhouse. He has an elite guard, we need you to be the one to secure him," explained Tseng. Cloud and the others seemed exhausted.

"Alright, I had a feeling I would need to face this myself anyways," Zack told himself.

He moved into the bathouse. He fought through every room, searching for the doctor. Leaving no room unexplored until he reached the final part of the bathhouse. He moved through the doorway and found Angeal, standing staring off into the scenery nearby. The room was large and had a shattered glass roof. He held his wide blade out in front of him. Zack felt like Angeal was waiting for him to reach him and find him.

"It should have been me... I should have dealt with Genesis," Angeal told Zack.

"Yeah... then why'd you send me?" asked Zack. Angeal turned around and turned the blade onto Zack.

"To prepare you... for your next fight," Angeal told Zack.

"Have you lost it?!" Zack yelled out. Zack thought that Angeal finally came to his senses and was willing to listen to him but that idea was shattered. Angeal began slashing at Zack while Zack tried to communicate with him.

"Stop it!" Zack yelled at him. Angeal stopped for a moment.

"Someone's waiting for you, no?" said Angeal.

"Angeal... Don'd do this..." said Zack as he began to draw out his sword. They began to clash swords and just as they did, the Doctor showed up in the doorway.

"Very good, Angeal! It is time to exact revenge for our family's suffering!" said the Doctor.

"Fami-" Zack was interrupted by Angeal.

"No! My father is dead!" refused Angeal.

"Fine! Then do it for your mother!" the Doctor told him.

"My mother's shame made her take her own life," Angeal said to the doctor. Zack realized the mistake he made back in the village. Angeal's mother was ashamed of something and that shame forced her to take her own life. What could possibly force her to do something like that? Zack wondered.

"Shame? How terribly misguided! She should have been proud... Proud that she was the namesake of our experiment. 'Project G', or should I say 'Project Gillian'," said the Doctor. Angeal grabbed onto the doctor.

"Don't say her name!" Angeal yelled. Doctor Hollander began moving his hand away.

"Gillian, the woman implanted with those cells. Those genes being stolen away from Genesis. Yes, Genesis was a failure, I'll admit it. But you... Angeal... You were bred inside Gillian's body. You... you are perfection," the doctor continued. Angeal punched the doctor and knocked him over and looked away.

"Zack, I am perfect. A perfect... monster," said Angeal. The doctor attempted to continue speaking but Angeal knocked him down once more.

"Zack... Do your remember what I said? About our enemy being all that creates suffering?" asked Angeal to Zack.

Zack replied. "Yeah... but you're not one of them."

"But I created my own suffering... Zack let me show you" Angeal retorted. The doctor attempted to speak against but he realized his words wouldn't reach them now. He decided to run out into the village once more.

"Angeal... What happened to honor!?" yelled Zack. Angeal remained quiet and Zack knew he had to fight now.

The two fought. Angeal was fighting stronger than Zack had ever seen him fight before. As they fought, Zack felt Angeal's emotions being passed on through his blade. He felt the suffering, the hope, the despair, and the love that he felt through his life. This would be Angeal's last fight.

As Zack attacked once more, Angeal decided to not block the attack and Zack was able to inflict a deep cut. Zack surprised that Angeal decided to not block it, stepped back and looked down on Angeal. As he did, his eyes began to water. Angeal's body began to lose its color and Angeal looked up to Zack as he lied on the ground.

"Zack... you have my thanks," Angeal said before coughing up a bit of blood. Angeal took up his sword once more, barely able to hold it. He lifted it up to Zack's waist.

"This... is for you," Angeal said as he handed him his sword. Zack took the sword while losing control of his eyes. He cried while holding it.

"Protect your honor, always..." said Angeal with his final breath. Zack gasped, realizing his closest friend, his mentor, was dying. He knelt down, thinking of what to do. He then stood up, held up the Buster Sword and placed it directly in front of his face. He could hear Angeal's voice, "Embrace your dreams. If you want to be a hero, you need to have dreams... and honor." He cried as the rain came down and he moved the sword down.

"Is the sky wonderful up there? Kinda scary, but the flowers might like that... maybe," asked Aerith as she stood up. She looked back at Zack behind her, his back turned to him. He was sitting in the center of the rows, crying. He never told Aerith why he was sad or what was hurting him. He just came in and asked Aerith for help.

Aerith moved towards him and placed her arms around him as he cried. That seemed to calm him down quite a bit.

Zack sat down in the main resting hall for the samurai with Angeal's blade out. He gained new confidence and placed it onto his back. He began moving away from his seat and towards a set of samurai. He was going to be an instructor for the next generation of samurai.

He walked down the group of samurai, inspecting them, and making sure they were samurai material. He looked one in the eyes and patted his shoulder.

"So you want to be a samurai? Hang in there," he told him. He began testing their discipline and asking why they wanted to be a samurai. Then, he gave them one piece of an advice that he called an "order." He drew his sword off of his back, held it up for a moment, then held it in front of his face.

"Embrace your dreams. And whatever happens, protect your honor." Zack ordered.

After ordering the recruits around and testing them, Zack got new information. Genesis' clones were spotted once more. They were spotted around the prison that the samurai kept prisoners in. The one that Doctor Hollander was held in. Nobody knew the exact location of the prison however, only the higher-ups of the samurai command could possibly know the location. Zack is sent to the prison to handle the situation but by the time he arrives, Hollander has escaped.

Just after Zack arrives, Sephiroth arrives as well. Sephiroth gives Zack leave and allows him to return to the Three Wolves. At this time, Zack also helps Aerith begin to start selling her flowers to people around the Three Wolves. After doing this, Tseng tells Zack that he is going to have to go to Nibelheim, a suspected location on Genesis' hideout, with Sephiroth, Cloud, and a couple of other samurai.

As the group enters the village, they happen upon a woman who seems to be a guide for the area. When she comes into visible range, Cloud covers up his face with his helmet in a rush. Zack is confused at why Cloud would do such a thing.

"Hi! My name is Tifa Lockhart! I've been assigned to be your guide," said Tifa. She seemed to be a very hyper woman. She had long brown hair and brown eyes. She wore a cow girl-esque outfit with a leather coat and a white shirt. She also wore a leather skirt that was high on her thighs. She also wore leather boots with spurs. She was a country girl.

"Bright and optimistic, Tifa always cheers up the others when they're down. But don't let her looks fool you, she can decimate almost any enemy with her fists..."

"Thanks Tifa, we're going to need your help to check out the area," said Zack.

"Are you elite samurai by any chance?" asked Tifa suddenly.

"Yes... Why?" replied Zack.

"No reason... Just always dreamed of a blonde-haired samurai protecting me. But none of you fit the description, too bad," added Tifa.

"Okay... So can you show us the way to the town?" asked Zack.

"Yep!" responded Tifa in a loud voice as she ran up a hill. As she runs up, Zack leans over to Cloud and whispers.

"You know her?" asked Zack.

"She's a childhood friend but I'd rather avoid her for the time being. Not being a full-fledged samurai yet doesn't help me out," replied Cloud. Zack chuckled under his breath.

Tifa led the group to the inn where they would spend the night and then search the area around the village in the morning.

In the morning, the group moved out with Tifa as their guide and found a suspicious looking structure out in the mountains. The group enters the structure but find it completely abandoned. Sephiroth goes down into the structure and begins exploring the structure. The group realizes that the structure is actually a samurai outpost from ages ago. After realizing what the structure was and that it wasn't relevant to their search, or not anymore, they left the building. Sephiroth however opted to stay in the building and do more research. Once the group got back, they relaxed in the village. When Sephiroth returned, he left again to go to an abandoned mansion in the far end of the village. Sephiroth spent a week in the mansion, learning and changing.

When Sephiroth emerged from the building, he was a changed man. What he learned caused him to go insane. As he left the buildling, he began to destroy the village, burning and slaughtering people alive. As Tifa sees the destruction, along with Cloud and Zack, Tifa is enraged and chases after Sephiroth as he leaves to go back up to the structure. She follows Sephiroth into the structure but as she approaches her, Sephiroth strikes a non-fatal blow onto her to keep her away. Zack tries to help Tifa but she refuses his help and is incredibly scared of him.

Zack rushes at Sephiroth, using his full strength. Sephiroth is able to defeat him after a time but Zack was able to put up a fight against him. Nobody else was able to keep up with Sephiroth for that long. Cloud seeing his friend being hurt and his teacher hurt, takes up Zack's Buster Sword and strikes down Sephiroth. As he does, he loses consciousness.

Zack losing consciousness and re-gaining it for short times at this moment led him to understand a bit of the situation. Doctor Hojo, the doctor responsible for many of the evil deeds that hurt Angeal, had stolen Zack and Cloud away. The doctor was a shinobi doctor that specializes in genetic medjutsu. His favorite kind of experiment was with human DNA.

Zack and Cloud were experimented on while being continually placed under chemicals that would keep them asleep. While being kept in this state, Zack has a dream that Angeal flies away from him and as Zack reaches for him, he is able to break through the prison and free himself. It takes him a while to relieve himself of his muscle exhaustion but he is eventually able to. He looks around for clues and realizes that they were moved to the basement of the mansion in Nibelheim. He realizes through the study of random science notes that he has been stuck in this prison for four years.

Zack eventually finds Cloud in the basement as well and frees him. Cloud is however incapable of basic motor functions and is left in an almost vegetative form. Zack replaces his clothes with samurai gear similar to his and carries him around. Zack leaves the mansion with Cloud after making sure that he is alright. Zack knew that Hojo held a high position somewhere in the samurai hierarchy and knew that their control over the entire Land of Iron. He only had one place to go to, his hometown of Gongaga.

On the way back from Gongaga, Genesis ambushed the group along with Doctor Hollander. Both had seemed weak compared to Zack as he didn't lose too much of his strength from the experiments on him. Their objective seems to be Cloud and not Zack. As they fight him, they lead him into an underground pathway which opens up to the Banora Underground. This is when Zack realizes that Genesis had been working from Banora the entire time, realizing that Angeal was hinting at this back in Wutai. Zack is able to strike down Doctor Hollander with ease but Genesis seems to be re-vitalized from a new power and is able to fight Zack with ease.

As Zack is being pushed back, an unexpected ally shows themselves. Director Lazard appears to aid Zack against Genesis. But Zack refuses his aid against him and rather has him take care of the incapacitated Cloud, bringing him back to the surface. Zack is able to fight Genesis and defeat him after a long battle. Rather than kill Genesis, understanding that he was only a victim and was truly misunderstood, he allowed him to live. Before, Zack would have killed Genesis but what really helped his decision was the amount of time Zack spent with Aerith. His time with her changed him for the better.

Zack could only think about what he could do to get back to Aerith. He decided that the only option would be to fight through the samurai stronghold, save her, then return back to Gongaga where he could live peacefully. Deep in his head however, he knew that there was no chance of this happening but he only had one option, so why not place his hope in it.

As Zack and Cloud headed towards the samurai stronghold, Director Lazard dying from wounds that he sustained in helping Zack against Genesis, Zack carried a one-way discussion about his life and what he wanted to do with his life. Cloud couldn't say anything or respond but he was listening. The words hit farther than Zack would have expected. As they got closer to the stronghold, Zack realized that they would be ambushed and stops to hide Cloud. As he does, he goes out to face the ambush. When he begins walking away, Cloud reaches a hand out, trying to stop him from leaving.

The samurai forces had sent an army to hunt down these two men. They were labeled as highly dangerous samurai that have betrayed the samurai code. Zack stood against a thousand samurai and freedom. He stood up against them as they readied their weapons.

"Boy oh boy... The price of freedom sure is steep," Zack said to himself. He drew out his blade and held it in front of his face, a last moment to think of everything.

"Embrace your dreams. And, whatever happens, protect your honor as a samurai!" said Zack as he ran into battle.

"Come and get it!" he yelled. He felt the thrill of battle that he always felt when fighting. He truly loved that feeling. It was what he wanted for so long but eventually, the thrill ran out. His mind was free to wander once more and he thought about what happened for the past few years. He thought about his friends, his bonds, everything that he worked for. He first thought about Cissnei, the turk he helped during Genesis' attack, then of Tseng, a close friend of his throughout many years, then of Sephiroth, his role model and his friend. As he thought about them however, he began to lose his memories of them. They faded and he couldn't remember their faces. The next people he thought about were his master, Angeal, the one he struck down, and his student and close friend, Cloud. He thought about how Angeal always wanted to protect his honor and be there for everyone. Cloud was his closest friend and his student. He wanted to make sure Cloud would learn from him and Angeal. As he thought more about them, those memories, too, began to fade away, leaving a blank image in his memory. When he began losing those memories, he heard a woman's voice greet him. Aerith. Even she too, began to fade.

Zack continued to fight until their forces were immensely tiny. Many of the soldiers retreated because they weren't needed anymore. Zack was heavily injured and couldn't even lift up his blade anymore. He could only lift his blade to strike but that was the only time when he could draw physical power. As he tried to fight on, he couldn't even hurt the weakest of their soldiers. He was pelted with volleys of weaponry but he still continued to fight. As he fought, his mind began to fade. Only one thing existed to him now, Aerith. He eventually fell. As he fell, everything in his world faded to black and he could only see Aerith. All he wanted was to be with Aerith. That was what motivated him to do everything he did. He lost himself and began to pass. After the samurai left, Cloud was barely able to claw himself out of the hiding spot and went to Zack's side.

"Z-Zack..." Cloud said to Zack on the ground. Zack coughed as he saw Cloud there. He knew what he had to do. He was still able to work up a smile to Cloud, his thoughts of Aerith's smile and his time with her was what brought the smile. He was then able to speak to Cloud.

"For the... Both of us... " Zack was barely able to force these words out.

"Both of us?" Cloud questioned.

"That's right... You're gonna... You're gonna..." said Zack. After saying this, he grabbed Cloud's head and pushed his head into his bloodied chest. It was the best hug he could give him.

"Live."

"You'll be... my living legacy," said Zack, telling Cloud to live life not just for himself, but for the two of them. He let go of Cloud's head and Cloud raised up and looked at Zack. Zack moved his Buster Sword towards Cloud, signalling for him to take up the sword.

"My honors, my dreams, they're yours now," Zack said to him. Cloud took the blade in both hands. Zack let go and he released the burden of honor from his body.

"I'm your... living legacy..." Cloud said at a very slow pace. Zack began to close his eyes and his smile extended across his face. Cloud realized the death of his friend and began to cry out as it started to rain. Cloud remembered every single moment that he spent with Zack. Instead of flashing before Zack's eyes, Zack's life flashed before Cloud's eyes. The sun's rays began to rain down instead of water onto Cloud. He heard Zack's words echo through him and he felt his dreams, honor, and hopes flow into him. With Zack's dreams, Cloud could finally become a hero.

"Thank you... I won't forget... Good Night... Zack..." Cloud said as he moved away with the Buster Sword.

Zack dying, imagined his death and saw Angeal, with an angelic wing flying down onto him. He was envious of the wing. Angeal came down and took Zack's hand, taking him into the sky. The only that thing went through is mind was a question.

"Would you say... that I became a hero?"

Cloud ventured towards the nearest shinobi village. He became a mercenary. However, he lost his past. He lost everything that he was. The trauma of the events causes Cloud to completely emulate Zack and take over his identity. He became a retired first class samurai. All of these memories accumulated into him being turned into a new person. This new person's world is one where he replaced Zack. Zack never existed and other people's past memories are almost all excluded. The only person he took parts of this new person with were Tifa's. He was no longer the recruit samurai, he was a first class samurai that was matched up with Sephiroth because of his great skill and power. He forgot Zack.

Awesome bio, and in regards to Gobi's thing, it's a skin, i could use images of Cloud strife and call him cloud not so strife, and there is no issue.
It's just a skin after all, conveniently Minato looks similar to cloud. xd
