In reply to Gaara using senpuken, throws a flash bang in the air behind him before it explodes in attempt to blind the opponent. Kotaro then forms the boar handseal while molding hayaton before vanishing in a blitz of speed before repeatedly attacking Gaara from mutliple angles in mid air while blinded before releasing a falling ax kick to Gaara's head sending him crashing against the ground.
with another handseal while molding futon in his chest, Kotaro then expelled a sphere of compressed wind from his mouth towards Gaara's body to finish off whatever was left of Gaara.

With Kotaro seeing his opponent using sand as a shield, he weaves a single handseal while molding Hayaton before giving himself the ability to fly in a straight path from multiple angles while striking and passing the opponent's shield of sand. As he strikes the sand he slaps multiple bomb tags with each strike before repositioning himself in a safe distance as they explode on the already weakened sand shield breaking thru it and causing damage to Gaara!

relentlessly following up, Kotaro then grips his sword while channeling lightning thru it, he decapitates and passes Gaara while disoriented from the previous explosion before deactivating the lightning and sheathing his sword ending the fight.

As the shield blocks the explosion from the bomb tags, Kotaro puts the opponent in a genjutsu allowing him to experience a snake emerging from the ground and constricting Gaara leaving him immobile. with me in control of your chakra Gaara is unable to mold chakra to use his sand. At the same time Kotaro cast the illusion he tosses 4 bang Kunai aimed at his legs before exploding in close proximity of Gaara.
