Shun was already at the specified location relaxing under the gentle breeze with his lightning katana strapped to his back when Gajeel approached, Shun quickly jumps up on his feet and hears Gajeel introduce himself and replies "I am Shun Kazami, the great Pupeteer, the one who pulls the strings" and then he continues "since we are both Pupeteers, looks like the best pupeteer will emerge victorious at the end of the day. May the best pupeteer win." and as Shun sees Gajeel release the gust of wind, he saw that Gajeel possesses the same katana that he himself possess and says "looks like we have a lot in common" as he quickly makes three handseals and exhales a small fire ball that explodes into a giant fire storm and Shun then quickly makes one handseal again and releases a huge blast of wind that increases the power of the fire technique he performed to easily wipe out Gajeel's attack and continue towards Gajeel. Shun then finishes by making several rock pillars protude out of the ground below Gajeel to skew Gajeel.
