[Closed] Fun Spar

As Karla releases the genjutsu, Mystogan writhes in pain on the ground, and releases a current of electricity around his body to destroy the spike and leave him in a small crater. As Karla walks towards him, Mystogan gets on one knee, having drawn his skull-headed staff, and leans upon it. As he listens to Karla, Mystogan sighs.
We might as well be done for the day... You impaled my knee, so there's not much use continuing this friendly spar, unless I were to forsake my knee and cause myself unnecessary pain and destruction to my body... Would you mind helping me up?

[The Mockingjay]

Looking down at her opponent Karla smiles at his request. As he rises to a knee she spits on the ground to her right, clearing her mouth of the putrid taste still present from before. She walks over to the man and extends her hand with the intent to help him back to the village. As she walks toward him she speaks.

"I guess you're right... My apologies for that, I hope you are not left inactive for too long. I just get carried away sometimes ya know?"

With no way of assuming anything, Karla walks straight into the mans trap and stands, hand on his arm and unable to move. Her caring eyes locked on his as she is unable to change even a facial expression. Inside Karla smiles, laughing at herself and applauding the man on his trickery.

Grabbing Karla's arm, Mystogan pulls himself to his feet, leaning heavily on his uninjured leg. Then he looked at her expressionless face.
What's the problem? Do you think I'm going to try to attack you in the state I'm in? I do need to rest my leg, let it heal... If you still do not trust me, please, tell whomever you please that you have bested me here; had I called you here for the sole purpose of defeating you, I would have gone about it in a much better way.
As Mystogan limped closer to Karla, he put his arm on the side of his injured leg around Karla's shoulders so as to use her as support back into the village. Just as he was about to put his staff away on his back, Mystogan hesitated, and then held it out in front of him.
I'll be off into the world, soon... Mission from Naraku-sama. Hopefully my knee's better by then... Whatever the case, I want you have this staff.
Mystogan then held his staff out towards Karla as he tried to limp a step forward, urging them to walk closer to the village as he continued to talk.
I know not if I'll return alive, and I'd like at least a part of my spirit to remain in Kirigakure should I pass on... You'll keep this safe for me, won't you?

OOC: Timeframe of this unofficial fight is before I left Kiri for Kumo's borders, just to clear things up... It'll make sense later, assuming everything goes as planned.

When the paralysis is drained from her body Karla takes the staff without hesitation, with the staff in hand she helps the man back to the village with a slight sense of guilt in her mind. Taking the staff, she speaks.

"I'll make sure your staff is safe don't worry. Although, I cannot promise that when you do return, I will be the one holding it. I plan on leaving sometime soon so will hand it to a girl I trust dearly. 'When' you return, search for a girl named Kanu Unchou. Your staff will be safe with her."

Karla then remains silent as the two make their way slowly home, the sun more or less completely gone, down beyond the edge of the earth.

As Mystogan and Karla slowly make their way back to the village, Mystogan smiles beneath his mask, though if he were to be without his mask one would never know for his smile was contorted with the ever-present sensation of searing pain in his knee.
Yes... 'When' I return... he thought, wondering at his own capability should he be needed... For if he was needed, it would mean that the enemy was very strong and- It was best to not worry about such things at that time... For a later moment, but not now... Now Mystogan had enough to worry about, and more than that... So he walked in silence alongside Karla towards the village, anticipating his upcoming mission.
