Close Relationship between the Senju and Uzimaki

I've been doing a brief research....and I noticed something. I don't know about you guys, but if you look at Mito Uzimaki.....and then look at Tsunade....the mark on their foreheads....How close exactly are their bloodlines?? I've read that they had close ties....but exactly how close. The only ones from The Land of Whirling Tides were Mito and Kushina. Mito, married the First and was the first jin-nin of Kurama....Kushina was forced into that role as the second gen jin-nin....

So my question is how exactly close are the Senju and Uzimaki clans? Can only 2 people from 1 clan really make that much of a difference??

mito is the first hok's wife... and first hok is tsunade's grandfather

it isnt explained completely why they were close but it wasn't 100% because of the jins i think.

The Uzumaki was distant relatives of the Senju clan. Thats about it. Mito Uzumaki was allready Hashirama's wife before his fight with Madara. After that fight Hashirama obtained controll over the kyuubi, she deicided to become the host of Kurama.

Mito is Tsunade's grandmother, but that is not why they are distant blood related. It's more likely that the Uzumaki were a branch of the Senju who who went different ways or the other way around. As in the two clans were one along time ago and then split.

grandmoher but the real question is if uzumaki kushina is related to mito because they look (from the same clan) but the age difference is too much so she's probably a descendant :shrug: xd

i think there is a slight possibility of Kushina and Tsunade being related...like closely related..cousins or neice or something.
