Because clones are never as good as the real thing.

FTG requires chakra.

Clones split chakra, takes more time to use.

most reasonable answer, maybe there's a delay because of how much chakra one can put out into the technique.

Non edo, this would make a lot of sense.
Clones created contain only a portion of the users original chakra. The more clones you make, the less chakra each has.
FTG, as all jutsus, require chakra to perform. So, if the user has low chakra it would be harder to execute, therefore it would make it slower.
In the case of the edos, where chakra is unlimited, I don't get why the FTG would become slower.

It's because of Minato, a clone couldn't tank that NaruSasuUltraBeastComboAttack. And yeah, it takes more time ofc.

Because the edos chakra comes back almost instantly. Unless of course, a highly costing jutsu is being spammed(Madara using two meteors). In a clone, the clone is being summoned with the amount of chakra that was given to them. They're not edo tensei clones. If they were, they'd have to be sealed too.

MangaPanda Translation: "Using the Hiraishin with Clones is too slow. We should use the Hiraishin Mawshi with us."

*********** Translation: "Using the Flying Thunder God Technique with Clones will not cut it... We have no choice but to use the Instantaneous Swapping Flying Thunder God Technique."

It is the delay when the Clone disperse or poof away when they use Flying Thunder God Technique to swap. The delay creates an opening for Obito to escape. Taken advantage of Edo Tensei, allows the two Hokage, Minato and Tobimaru, to swap places without the delay.

Clones don't make the FTG technique slower... The splitted chakra increases the difficulty to perform it, thus the preparation time is increased as well?

hmmm makes sense I suppose. Thanks for the input erebody:yay:
