I was re-watching Clerks and I realized something that very few people have seemed to mention when talking about Kevin Smith's movies and the connected-ness of the stories.

Randall Graves and Brodie Bruce(Jeff Anderson and Jason Lee respectively) are cousins.

They may be 2nd cousins I'm not entirely clear but they share the same grandmother and the same cousin Walt. It's not been explicitly stated whether Walt's parents are brother or sister to both Randal and Brodie's parents but there is a relation between them, either 1st or 2nd cousin. I'm pretty sure they're supposed to be 1st cousins though.
