Clearing Up What God Of Shinobi Actually Means

Both the Sage of Six Paths and Sarutobi Hiruzen share the nickname "God Of Shinobi", and most people take this the complete wrong way, assuming that this is comparing Hiruzen to the Sage, as they fail to realize that there are different definitions for "God".

Rikudo Sennin was nicknamed God of Shinobi because he was the "almighty" of the Narutoverse. He could create anything he wanted, and he tamed the beast that was the juubi. He was a God under the definition of the creator/ruler of the Narutoverse.

Sarutobi Hiruzen was nicknamed God of Shinobi because he mastered the ninja arts. He was a master in nin, tai and genjutsu, and in his prime was incredibly strong, fast, durable and has always been extremely intelligent. He was nicknamed a God in the sense of being a powerful/respected person, or in other words, an idol. He was not considered a God in the same sense as the Rikudo Sennin.

I dunno how many times I see "shares the same nickname as Rikudo" or statements similar to it, when the nicknames mean different things for each person.

Hiruzen was called both the Professor, for knowing an insane amount of ninjutsu (1,000 genjutsu, said to know all the jutsu in the leaf etc). He was called the God of Shinobi because of how strong he was as a ninja. But it doesn't mean he was on a level comparable to Rikudo Sennin, far from it. Just like how Kabuto saying Hashirama's power is a myth like the Sage of 6 Paths isn't a like for like comparison either.

Yes, but he was what I'd refer to as a "false god". He ruled people because they feared him/were "brainwashed" by him. Rikudo is considered God because he was the creator, and this is by people's choice, not by force. Hiruzen is considered a God-like figure for his power/wisdom, and was by people's choice as well.

This is a perfect post to show the example of the majority of members on this forum's inability to read/comprehend.

I never once stated anything about Hiruzen being capable or incapable of beating anyone. I simply posted what is meant behind the nicknames of each character. Nothing more, nothing less. Neither Hiruzen or Rikudo was hated on in this post. Never once was anyone other than them brought up in my post, either. Just what their respective nicknames mean.

Before you make another post, make sure you read my post(and do it multiple times, just so you're SURE you get the point).

Do not come in here and try and derail the thread. There's plenty of threads for you to argue with others about Hiruzen and the other hokages. This is not one of them and it will not turn in to one of them.

The u mean to say Hizune >> Madara/Onoko/Third Raikage/Muu etc (God of SHINOBI and shinobi includes all)

Kakashi too knows about 1000 jutsus and many of them from outside konoha.

Tenten too said Neji was the strongest genin and could not be beat. We all know how true it turned out to be.

So in my opinion, GOD of Shinobi could be easily expanded as Greatly Overestimated Dreamer of Shinobi.

Also try to note, he was 'CALLED' not 'IS' ....... which means people 'thinks' Saru is God of Shinobi many of whom never seen, Madara, Onoki etc

As for Orochimaru VS Hizune: remember that orochimaru was using a control seal that had COMPLETE CONTROL (Kabuto used a different variant that allowed the edo's to their personal MO and took very less effort for control) and thus had to mentally control both of Nindaime and Sandime 's actions (very tough thing to do, controlling three bodies at once), which wld result them to be much weaker than they originally wld have been.
