Clearing up Tobi's comment to Guy and Kakashi...

So, as we see here:

After guy asks Tobi who he is, Tobi responds with, "You don't remember faces, so what is the point in telling you?"

Most people, including myself, would first think, "GUY AND TOBI KNOW EACHOTHER OMGOMGOMGOMG!" This included myself so don't make fun of me... xd

But after some thought, That comment does not necessarily mean that Tobi amd Guy have met. What I think it means, is that since Tobi does not care who he is, he sees no point in revealing his identity to Guy, since Guy would just forget. But, his earlier comment probably means Kakashi has met him. Or, Zetsu could have been keeping tabs or kakashi with his spores and have been feeding Tobi info. I just think that if they know him, it's quite obvious who the two possibilites are...

Don't get me wrong, Tobi and Guy totally could have met eachother before, but I don't think so. Any thought...? Oh, and have a good day everyone!

Zetsu has been watching Akatsuki fights. Zetsu could have told Tobi information on his enemies.

Though, if Tobi and Kakashi knew each other, then it really wouldn't leave much of a mystery as to who Tobi is. It could be possible though.

no. there was a thread explaining this a while ago and i dont remember the page number or chapter but when they first fight tobi, i guess something happens to foreshadow that line. i would look back on the earlier chapters because i cant remember what exactly happened.

Concerning Kakashi, he's one of the most famous ninja's alive. It wouldn't be hard to figure out that his teammates had died and he's regretting that. Especially when you have someone like Zetsu at your disposal.

i still think it will come into play when tobi is revealed because i honestly think he knows them. we cant just count it out so early just because most of us sicken at the idea of tobi=obito, its still either way is a clue and until it is proven 100% it means nothing, i think we all can agree jumping to conclusions and saying it means nothing does not fit the type of manga we are reading. since tobi is going to be revealed VERY soon(maybe next chapter or chapter 600) we have to take every clue we are given and considerer it means something leading to his idenity.

Simply the way Kishimoto is presenting the manga is hinting that Tobi is someone we know. The way Naruto, Kakashi, and Guy all ask "Just who the hell are you?" with a disturbed expression. The tension being build up would be wasted if he was a new char or a random Uchiha with no connection to the story.

As I stated before, because of Kakashi's fame, it should be well known that he lives a life of regret because many of his comrades has died. Knowing Tobi, he can find out easily with someone like Zetsu around. He already had intel on the Aburame clan. Kakashi is famous.

Oh yeah, to the person who wanted to know, its Mugen(red) vs. Kariya Kagetoki. Show is called Samurai Champloo. Has some of the most well choreographed fight scenes in all of anime. The only ones that compare are the ones from Moribito and Sword of the Stranger.

Ebotiff. Izuna is as random as it gets. He's such fodder he only gets shown in one chapter as a stepping stone for Madara's power. Obito at least gets shown AND mentioned in several chapters. Not saying it's Obito, it could be another char we know. Just the faces the characters make shows as if they get a weird feeling from Tobi. All the suspense built up will not be wasted.
