Clearing up the confusion on who the strongest Hokage is......

List should be like that:
1. Hashirama
2. Tobirama
3. Hiruzen
4. Minato
5. Tsunade

It should be. Because elders usually better than next generation in Naruto.For example Rinnegan is best doujutsu, and manga says Sharingan is mutated from it.Hashi mutated from So6P's son in kind a different way. So the Prime Power is becoming weaker and weaker.(I hope i could tell the main idea -.-) . and I am not saying always.


In my opinion :

1. Hashirama
2. Hiruzen
3. Tobirama
4. Minato
5. Tsunade


Anyway there is another thing to "maybe" Hiruzen really strongest kage ever.Yes maybe Madara said Hashirama is strongest shinobi but Same Manga said Hiruzen was strongest kage in his prime too. Maybe, if madara fight with Hiruzen, he would say Hiruzen is strongest. He didnt say because he can not survive for long :scorps: ( anyway Last part is just my opinion )

Well in order to find the best, comparing and contrasting is often a tool most people use to gather an intellectual answer...just saying. though they are different and have different skills, some one has to be the best.

In real world,that actually works.

In a fictional universe where a new move pops up whenever a character must not die or just look cool so that the readers like him,comparing inc drawings is at the very least a waste of time.

And no, NOONE has to be the best. They all got the same title and they are all equally good.

Stated in the 3rd DB, but otherwise you're correct. However, that's rather shallow when you consider that Hiruzen doesn't have an integral part in the story while Hashirama does, so it's rather obvious who's strength is going to get the focus.

Edit: Well, technically Danzo speaks of this when he refers to never having been able to surpass Hiruzen, and us seeing his promotion to Hokage by Tobirama.




And you're acting like an author would just change something he stated without a shadow of a doubt for over a decade. An author wouldn't simply change that for seemingly no reason.

The databooks also said Tobi was Madara and called Tobi "Madara". I remember when I was proving Tobi = Madara "believers" wrong, alot of people aswell, mentioned the Databooks, and look now... Looks like someone decided to change his plans? I don't believe any Interview whatsoever because people fake them in order to make their theories sound better, the "interview" where Kishi said Minato and Hiruzen were the strongest dead Shinobi's or whatever was false... Since then I don't listen to anybody anymore unless it's officially said by Kishi and just because it's in the manga doesn't mean it's true, this manga is unstable already so many things don't make sense. I'm sure Hashirama will get his troll power boost aswell I'm fearing as I am a Hashirama fanboy, you'll see...

Technically, Tsunade is the STRONGEST hokage In terms of power, Hashirama was undeniably the greatest hokage. Tsunade actually managed to perform some of his old techniques, so she's better than the 2nd at least, mainly due to what little we know of his own power. Minato's power mainly branched from his speed and his wisdom. That's why he was able to defeat Tobi before, but I doubt Tobirama would have been capable of that. And despite the databooks, I still have a hard time believing that Hiruzen was THAT powerful, even if we haven't seen that much of him, but I'm sure he's still more powerful than all but Hashirama. My list would end up being:

1. Hashirama
2. Hiruzen
3. Minato
4. Tsunade
5. Tobirama

Rubbish? Lol guy you've never seen prime Hiruzen's ducktale strength & you've never seen Minato go all out and show more jutsu. Hiruzen CAN NOT stop FTG, Hiruzen isn't even faster then Minato's base speed.

- Minato can space barrier any of Hiruzen's jutsu he send his way and deflect them.
- Minato simply needs to touch Hiruzen 1 TIME Inorder to place his FTG seal on him & once that happens, he can either Rasengan or stab him with his kunai in a vital spot and game over.

Hiruzen isn't untouchable & can not get away from Minato's speed.

i thought the author already said minato and sarutobi Prime are tied, but now the manga says the 1st sigh. Why the inconsistency oh well i want to see more on them though. In all honesty i feel part one of this manga has been retconned and is now unnecessary in this topic. Even the data books can be trusted as some have stated things from part one which are no longer true.

Until kishi comes out and we have a official video of an interview or SBS and state who the strongest hokage is this topic is always moot.

This is a great list. I agree on all parts and why you did it. Even the Prime Hiruzen is definitely warranted as being > Minato but some people will just be the way they are. And it would be close. But really nice job.
